Educator.
What will I learn?
This two year programme of study
will prepare you to become an
early years educator. You’ll become
qualified and licenced to work with
children in an unsupervised role
from birth to five years, as well as
gaining knowledge of children aged
five to seven years of age.
You will complete exciting
work experience placements and
get the skills you need for work.
You'll learn about a range of topics
including health and wellbeing,
legislation, learning for school
readiness and professional
development.

Five GCSE grades at A*-C/9-4
including English Language and
preferably maths and science.
What will I learn?
On this course you'll gain an
understanding of working in health
and social care environments,
principles of safe practice,
meeting individual needs and
human lifespan development.
You'll have the opportunity to study
a range of units including anatomy
and physiology, working in health
and social care, physiological
disorders, health psychology,
understanding mental health,
microbiology and public health.
You'll get fantastic hands-on
experience through a supervised
work placement with one of our
industry partners for example, in a
care home or community setting.

What will I learn?
You'll develop upon your existing
knowledge and skills to enable you
to become confident and capable
when working under supervision
with children and young people
from birth to 19 years of age.
During the course, you will gain
an understanding of all aspects
of childcare, child development,
child safety, learning and play and
communication.
You'll undertake work placements
in a range of settings including
nurseries, day nurseries and
primary schools.
