What will I learn?<br />
This course is aimed at those<br />
who wish to start a career in the<br />
sport and active leisure industry.<br />
You’ll study all aspects of how<br />
and where to participate in sport,<br />
looking at improving fitness,<br />
healthy lifestyle, sport in the<br />
workplace and working safely.<br />

What will I learn?<br />
This course will prepare you for<br />
work in the health and fitness<br />
industry. You’ll study anatomy<br />
and physiology, how to maintain<br />
health, safety and welfare in a<br />
variety of fitness environments,<br />
how to communicate with and<br />
motivate clients, employment<br />
law, industry specific legislation,<br />
customer service, diet and lifestyle,<br />
how to plan group exercise<br />
sessions and how to instruct a<br />
variety of exercise sessions.<br />
On completion you can progress on<br />
to our Level 3 programmes or apply<br />
for Fitness Instructor roles in the<br />
industry. We will also develop your<br />
maths and English skills and provide<br />
a work placement in industry.<br />

What will I learn?<br />
This course is ideal for students who<br />
want to follow a more academic<br />
route of study that will allow them to<br />
then complete a Level 3 course and<br />
eventually progress to university.<br />
You’ll study fitness testing, how<br />
to develop a fitness programme,<br />
how to lead sport activities, as well<br />
as taking part in different sports<br />
and relevant work experience.<br />
On completion, you will have the<br />
skills necessary to get a job as a<br />
leisure attendant or a sports leader<br />
or to progress on to one of our<br />
Level 3 courses.<br />
