Welcome to J’AIME We just love this time of year here at J’AIME; it’s a time for cosy nights by the fire sipping a glass or two of full-bodied red or an indulgent hot chocolate, and a time where the celebrations come thick and fast with Halloween just around the corner, swiftly followed by Bonfire Night and - dare we whisper it already? - Christmas! If you’re planning a Halloween bash then check out our Halloween decor feature from some stylishly spooky ideas. This month we also introduce our new columnist Jack Regan, whose ‘action man’ lifestyle will see him cover an array of adrenaline-fuelled activities over the coming months, starting with a hair-raising charity abseil in Birmingham for his first contribution. We’ve got some fantastic competitions lined up for you this month, with a bespoke pampering package at the Hart Spa, Middleton, and a hair makeover worth up to £150 at Lewis Moore Salons both up for grabs. If you’re game for a laugh then get yourself down to one of the many great shows at this year’s Birmingham Improv Festival, which is in its third year and going from strength to strength; we’ve also got a pair of tickets for one of the headline events, the Olivier Award-winning Showstopper! The Improvised Musical to give away to one lucky reader.
