GOING BEYOND THE CALL Frank Snyder spreading stone to create clam steamer area at complex The Pote’s Picnic was a great success. Committee chairman Joel Franco wishes to thank the many volunteers who worked on the event. It was the first time for the picnic at the complex and to make it happen some new areas had to be created. That is where Noble Frank Snyder came to the rescue. Frank brought his equipment and expertise to the project by grading five tons of stone for the new clam steamer area. He also used his front end loader to move 100 cement blocks to create a foundation for the steamers. Frank’s donation of time, effort and equipment helped make the transition from the gun club to the complex a viable reality. Thanks, Noble Frank. Forks of the Delaware TIN LIZZIES With the end of summer, the parade season speeds up for the Tin Lizzies. The club will participate in 18 parades by the end of the year. A week after MASA, the Pretzel Bowl and the Sportsman’s Raffle took place. For the Pretzel Sam Ellis Bowl, the Tin Lizzies brought two of our miniature Model Ts for display at the entrance to Albright College’s Eugene I. Shirk stadium. The little cars always generate interest. Congratulations to the Pretzel Bowl Committee headed up by Oriental Guide Kraig Leiby. The Sportsmen’s Raffle at the South End Gun Club was a huge success. Chairman Joel Franco and all the nobles and ladies who participated did a tremendous job once again with <strong>Rajah</strong>’s biggest fund raiser. The club began our fall season of baking wet bottom shoofly pies after MASA. We bake on the first and third Mondays of the month at St John’s Church in Farmersville. We’re selling pies at local events, small businesses, assisted living facilities and at Boscov’s in the Palmer Mall in Easton. Club President Bruce Johnson oversees the bakes with help from his lady, Sally. And finally, we’d like to welcome our newest Tin Lizzie Richard Stefanovic from Saylorsburg. At 6 foot, five, he just fits into the car. Richard comes to us from Lodge 594 in Pen Argyl. Welcome to the club, Richard.
