RAJAH CHANTERS<br />
The <strong>Rajah</strong> Chanters are BACK……and again we are the winners in both the large group singers of the<br />
Mid-Atlantic Shrine Chanters Association competition and the winners of the first-place trophy for the best<br />
showing in the annual MASA Parade on Saturday, Sept. 8th.<br />
Unfortunately, our small group of singers placed 3rd in the competition, but we are still very proud of<br />
the excellent work we all did in representing <strong>Rajah</strong> Shrine.<br />
A big pat on the back is due our Director/Conductor/Accompanist, Noble Bruce Rohrbach for the<br />
EXCELLENT job he did of handling all of the above in a masterful way. Bruce is a large part of why we<br />
did so well as he is very patient and considerate when leading this group of amateur singers. Bruce always<br />
goes above and beyond what is expected to make us sound great and he did it again.<br />
We also scored big at the MASCA meeting when we saluted the outgoing President, Noble Dan<br />
Heffelfinger and installed Noble Dave DeTurk to the position of Second Vice-President of this association. We want to thank Dan<br />
for a job well done and we wish David well on his assent to the top spot in a few years.<br />
Coming up, we have a couple of singing engagements on the docket and we will be participating in several parades this fall and<br />
early winter. Look for us at a parade near you and be sure to hoot and holler as we pass by.<br />
Within the very near future, we will be announcing the time, date and details of the <strong>Rajah</strong> Chanter Holiday Concert. We will<br />
be passing this information onto you shortly, as details are still being finalized as this notice goes to press. Check local listings for<br />
time, place and date.<br />
If your business group, social club or other organization is in need entertainment, just get in touch with any of the <strong>Rajah</strong> Chanters<br />
and we’ll set you in the right direction; we’d love to sing for you.<br />
Speaking of which, if you like to sing and have a good time, this is your invitation to join us. We rehearse Mondays at 7 in the<br />
All-Purpose Meeting Room at <strong>Rajah</strong> Shrine. See you there.<br />
