device that is equipped with the new Weigh
My Truck application and then properly
set up one time with the combined efforts
of your drivers and you.
To start, your driver signs up for a free
account online, establishing method of
payment. Here’s where you come in: rather
than drivers paying up front for their
scales and then needing reimbursement,
fleet managers can authorize the use of
Comdata, EFS, ACH or a company credit
card as a method of payment. (We’ll show
you later why this speeds things up for you
in the corporate office as well.)
Next, the driver downloads the free
Weigh My Truck app to his mobile device.
Then the next time the driver arrives at
any of the 1,800 CAT Scales located nationwide,
he/she launches the Weigh My
Truck app and confirms the location of
the scale is correct. Your company name,
the tractor number, trailer number, and
commodity type will pre-populate from
the initial account set up. An optional trip
number can be added if you’d like, and the
last step is accepting the scale fee. Once
weighing is complete, the weight information
populates in the app, notifying the
driver of steer axle, drive axle, trailer axle
and total weights. Since payment was already
prearranged, the scale experience is
now complete, and the driver is back on
the highway without ever having left the
rig. Weigh information is automatically
transferred nightly to the fleet in bulk format.

and receive a nightly summary of transactions.
