means the freedom to be, strong<br />

friendships, and a supportive family.<br />

Level 4: <strong>The</strong> forth level is selfesteem.<br />

<strong>For</strong> kids that includes confidence,<br />

achievement, respect<br />

for others, kid-to-kid communication,<br />

debating, discussion, negotiating,<br />

and leadership.<br />

Level 5: <strong>The</strong> fifth level is selfactualization.<br />

<strong>For</strong> kids that includes<br />

morality, creativity, spontaneous<br />

problem solving, lack of prejudice,<br />

So now that we’ve built the Hierarchy, let’s<br />

further describe the relationships.<br />

Level 1<br />

<strong>The</strong> first level is<br />

physiological needs.<br />

<strong>For</strong> kids that includes<br />

breathing,<br />

food, water, health,<br />

and sleep.<br />

At level 1physiological needs,<br />

If a kid experiences a long<br />

term lack in this area it literally<br />

shapes their value system.<br />

Kids<br />

develop a<br />

condition of poverty verses a<br />

season of poverty. <strong>The</strong>y risk internalizing<br />

the perception that they are<br />

destined for poverty, lack and they<br />

never aspire to ascend past it. This creates<br />

insecurity and fear.<br />
