great opportunity. However, if you own a franchise,<br />

for the most part, you make the rules by<br />

which you reap the benefits! You determine, your<br />

salary, time off for vacations, growth potential,<br />

ancillary career paths, etc. "Here is my card", I<br />

said, "<strong>The</strong> choice is yours". You reap 100% of<br />

what you sow! As an employer, you offer bonuses<br />

and incentive plans to your employees. You<br />

choose how much of the pie goes to them and<br />

what portion goes to you. (From those April<br />

showers, you decide how many May flowers you<br />

give away and how many you keep.) Later that<br />

You May Have the Knowledge to Run a Franchise<br />

But Not the Experience to Start One.<br />

In the world of business most individuals are<br />

quite capable of running their own business. <strong>The</strong>y<br />

are simply missing the, Who, What, Were, When<br />

and How of opening up a successful enterprise.<br />

That is what the Franchisor does. <strong>The</strong>y guide you<br />

regarding all those questions. And because they,<br />

most likely, have been doing it successfully for<br />

years, they are expertly equipped to properly<br />

school you in the most effective, easiest and understanding<br />

manner. Who would not want a<br />

successfully proven concept that is completely different<br />

but is exactly the same? And the "same" part of<br />

that statement has a long track record of being very,<br />

very successful. Now, what do I mean by that last<br />

statement? Sounds like jibber- ish or an oxymoron.<br />

Well, this is my thought process. Some of the most<br />

successful businesses have been born out of similar<br />

concepts and business products or services that are<br />

well known or seemed to be played out to tears.<br />

However, those businesses have still enjoyed a history<br />

of working very well because they contained a<br />

definite twist that earns it the right to be considered<br />

unique and different.<br />

Here is an example<br />

What could be more annoying than a mouse in your<br />

home? Well, over 100 years ago, the mouse trap<br />

was the answer. I would venture a guess that over<br />

one billion have been sold over the years. I would<br />

deem that a successful product and the business of<br />

producing them is, like wise, a killer business. Actually,<br />

killer is the operative word here! In today's age,<br />

we are now a society that is always thinking green<br />

and being more humane to animals. So, naturally<br />

there is now on the market the "humane" mouse<br />

trap; One which catches the animal and then allows<br />

the “humane” release into the wild.<br />
