filed a civil suit against MI6’s former head of counter-terrorism, Sir Mark Allen, accusing<br />

him of complicity in torture, misfeasance in public office, and negligence. 349 Then on June<br />

17, 2012, Saadi filed a claim against the government of Hong Kong for its role in his trans-<br />

fer. 350 Saadi now lives in Tripoli with his family. He is an imam at a local mosque and<br />

founded a political party, al-Umma al-Wasat. He ran, as did Belhadj, as a candidate during<br />

the July 7, 2012 elections. But his party, along with many other smaller ones, was defeated<br />

by the National Forces Coalition party headed by Mahmoud Jibril. 351<br />
