was initiated at the University of
Florida, and Windermere residents

Michaels were initiated at the
University of Florida and Auburn
University, respectively.

Barbara Jenkins was named the
2018 Outstanding Superintendent
Communicator by the Sunshine State
School Public Relations Association.
Dr. Jenkins accepted the award in
Tampa during the 73rd annual Joint
Conference of the Florida School
Boards Association. She is only the
sixth superintendent to receive this
honor. She and her district serve more
than 211,000 students with more than
