Redcliffs petrol station<br />
set to get $5m rebuild<br />

REDCLIFFS WILL lose its<br />
petrol station for nearly five<br />
months as it undergoes a $5<br />
million rebuild.<br />

Jiang said.<br />
The redeveloped station<br />
will have an electric vehicle<br />
charger, new shop, car<br />
wash and a cafe.<br />
The station will close on<br />
<strong>January</strong> 28 and re-open in<br />
mid-May.<br />

“The earthquake<br />
damaged our buildings and<br />
[underground] fuel tanks.<br />
So all the buildings and<br />
fuel tanks will be replaced.”<br />
For the past six years,<br />
the station has used<br />
temporary above-ground<br />
fuel tanks.<br />
It will also expand its<br />
floor space after acquiring<br />
two neighbouring<br />
properties, Mr Jiang said.<br />
“The shop will be 300m 2<br />
and at the moment it’s<br />
85m 2 . The work shop will<br />
also expand, at the moment<br />
it’s 80m 2 and it will be<br />
130m 2 ,” he said.<br />
Being the only petrol<br />
station in Redcliffs,<br />
Mr Jiang expects some<br />
disruption.<br />

Port Hills Rd and NPD<br />
Port Hills Rd.<br />
Mr Jiang thanked the<br />
Redcliffs community for<br />
supporting the business<br />
since the earthquake.<br />

BP service station and<br />
will add value to the<br />
