Rheanne Lamont-Funtanilla Rheanne Lamont-Funtanilla was born at Randwick, NSW from a Filipina mother and a Scottish father. Her mother, Desiree came from Narvacan, Ilocos Sur and Batangas while her father lives in Campbelltown and Palamalawa in the State of New South Wales. Rheanne is quite an achiever. She received the Cultural Citizen Award in 2016 when she was in Year 11 of her schooling. In Year 12, she received the Sister Kathleen Holahan Award for Music and the DUX Music Award at Mercy College in Chatswood, NSW. Rheanne has participated in several beauty and charity contests and has received several recognitions. She was named Best in National Costume at Mercy College Chatswood in 2010. In 2017, she was a Cat Walk Model at ‘The Port Darling Harbour funding for Polo de Marco’. She recently garnered the 1st Runner up award in the Miss FACAES Sydney, NSW in November 2018. Since 2011, Rheanne has enjoyed multicultural performances in Music & Arts under themes around Dr. Jose Rizal’s martyrdom and his brilliant writings . In 2017, she portrayed Huli in the musical play Cabesang Tales about the untold story of Hacienda Calamba . She also composed the songs and created the visual arts of the play that portrayed the ancestral history of the highlander Clan Lamont as well as the Japanese Animation “Anime” Rheanne is a University Student working for a double Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Sound International aimed at healing the world of harmony and peace for the homeless and less privileged. Catherine Gill Catherine is 15 years old and just completed Year 10 at Nepean Creative & Performing Arts High School. Catherine has been dancing since the age of 2 and a half, has performed and competed in a number of dance styles such as jazz, ballet, lyrical, tap, , hip hop, acrobatics and contortion. She has also been singing for most of her life and performed at many events. At 6 years old, she was given a personal congratulation by the then Mayor of Penrith Mr Cramery and MP David Bradbury when she sang in a Filipino celebration in St Marys NSW. During her schooling, she has performed as part of multiple dance and choir ensembles which have taken her to venues like the Sydney Opera House. Catherine also was fortunate in performing in the NSW State Schools Spectacular 2018. In school, Catherine has received awards for her academic excellence in History and Music and in her extra curriculars, has been awarded High Distinctions and Honours by the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) for piano. Last October, Catherine was a candidate in the Miss BNP Australia charity pageant 2018 which she was fortunate enough to win 3 titles (Miss Photogenic, Best Dress and Miss BNP 2018). Jeszarene Guerrero Jeszarene “Jesz” was born in La Purisima Quipayo Calabanga Camarines Sur. She was 9 years old when her mom came to Australia. Since her mom left her in the Philippines, she learnt to be an independent child, taking care of her grandmother and has learned basic survival skills which include cooking. Cooking became Jesz passion and her dream is to be a successful nurse. Jesz arrived in Australia on the 10th of December 2017. She has two brothers and one sister. Her mother finished Midwife course and is working in the Nursing Home. Jesz is an above average student academically, goes to Jamison High School and always receives Teachers Awards. Jeszarene is an active church believer and on her spare time, she reads romantic books and listens to music.
Raychelle Jade Morcilla Raychelle Jade Morcilla was born and raised in Australia. Her parents come from Bohol and La Union, Philippines. She studied at the University of Sydney where she graduated with combined Bachelor of Science, major in Anatomy and Physiology, and Master of Nursing degrees. Raychelle has been working as a full-time Registered nurse in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit at Westmead Hospital where she cares for patients who have had heart and lung surgeries. With over eight years of experience in the healthcare industry, she is honing her nursing skills by currently undertaking a Diploma in Critical Care from the University of Tasmania. In her spare time, Raychelle enjoys exercise, music, TV shows, photography, spending time with family and friends and travelling to new places. Having visited over 15 countries, she holds great interest and appreciation in experiencing the different cultures, traditions and foods each new place has to offer. She hopes in the near future that she would be able to use her healthcare experience and education to travel abroad and volunteer to take part in mission works for those less fortunate. Nathanael Alcantara Nathanael Alcantara was born in 1999 in Minto Campbelltown and he lives with his family in this quiet neighborhood. In 2017 he completed his Higher School Certificate Minto Public School with distinction at the state level as one of the highest achievers in general mathematics. Nathanael is currently pursuing Bachelor of Commerce in Professional Accounting at Macquarie University. Nathanael is a well rounded artist with proficient skills in music, visual arts and performing arts. During primary school he took piano lessons and attained an early love for the instrument in classical and jazz music, particularly bebop jazz and ragtime. Since 2013 he has played the organ for the local catholic church in Minto. Also budding at an early stage was his passion for drawing. Throughout his life he was self taught in this area, sketching things like castles and dragons during primary school, and then to hyper-realistic drawings of faces or cars in later years. Nathanael’s prime sporting achievements are in Taekwondo. He started his training when he was 7 years old. Since then he has competed in tournaments at a local and state level, and in 2015 he achieved his black belt. He has recently begun coaching students at his club, inspiring them with his determination and skill. Nathanael continues his training and coaching at his club in Minto. He is is currently a math tutor for year 12 students aiming for the Higher School Certificate. He continues to develop his skills in the things he is passionate about, mainly in music and art. His recent hobbies include playing the violin, running and writing short stories for his young sister. Patrick Danao Patrick began his love affair with music at an early age when he was placed on the throne of his father’s drum kit at 11 months old. Since then he hasn’t looked back having travelled around the world performing with the likes of James Morrison, Dianne Reeves, Patty Austin, Wycliffe Gordon, Jeff Clayton, Marian Petrescu, Kate Ceberano, Darren Percival, Joe Chindamo, Emma Pask, Troy Roberts, Kwame and many more. Now 23, Patrick “Patty” is regarded as one of Australia’s best up and coming drummer. Patrick attended the Newtown High School of the Performing Arts and was greatly involved with their music program, regular performers at the Sydney Opera House. Patrick also became a member of the NSW Public School’s Jazz Orchestra where his love for big band drumming and passed with flying colours the Australian Advance Drumming Board Examinations and in Advance Guitar; Advance Bass Guitar; Piano & has also picked up playing Saxophone; Trumpet; Vibraphone & other jazz instruments. He was also the endorsing artist of elite companies like Bosphorus (Turkey) for cymbals & Schagerl (Austria) for handmade brass snare drum. In 2017, Patrick has completed Bachelor of Arts (Honours) course of study at the James Morrison Academy of Music-University of South Australia with affiliation at Juilliard School of Music under Wynton Marsalis in New York. In 2016, he received his Bachelor of Music Degree Major in Performance at James Morrison Academy-Uni SA. He studied under Australian jazz greats Graeme Lyall, David Jones, Mat Jodrell, Phil Stack and Carl Mackey. Patrick was the inaugural recipient of the Academic Excellence Award. He is a recipient of multiple drum competition awards from 2003 to 2010. He was also a member of the top-tier orchestra and was featured on their debut album “James Morrison with his Academy Jazz Orchestra”. The album has toured across the US. The group performed at the Australian Embassy in Washington, DC as part of the inauguration of US President Donald Trump. Prior to his course in Music, he worked with Filipino musical directors like Louie Ocampo and supported Filipino visiting artists like Dulce; Zsa Zsa Padilla; Sarah Geronimo; Piolo Pascual and Black Jack. Patrick has been a regular member of James Morrison’s Quartet. He has toured in over a dozen countries with sold out shows in London, New York, L.A., Vienna, South Africa and appeared with the Czech National Orchestra for the Prague Proms. In 2017, the Quartet performed alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra featuring jazz superstar Dianne Reeves. During his free time, Patrick remains active in Church & Community services including in the Parish Youth Choir & Music Group.
