I would like to congratulate Adhika Inc, Plaza Filipino Inc. and Narra Cooperative Ltd for this fantastic initiative. It is wonderful to have such an event like the Pamana Ball 2019, which aims to bridge the generational gap between the present and emerging generations of Filipino-Australians, honouring Ambassadors for Culture and Arts, as well as Youth Ambassadors. This project is vital to ensure the continued strength of this dynamic community for generations to come. I also congratulate the Ambassadors for Culture & Arts as well as Youth Ambassadors, whose achievements will be honoured at the Pamana Ball 2019. Adhika’s educational projects in the Philippines are a testament to their continued investment in, and support of, Filipino youth and deserve the highest praise. I would like to applaud Plaza Filipino/Narra Co-op’s fundraising for a cultural centre for Filipinos in Sydney. Such a project will no doubt strengthen ties between Filipino Australians and the wider community. This is a truly exciting chapter for Plaza Filipino and Narra Co-op and I look forward to continuing to support both organisations into the future. The Macarthur region is truly lucky to have such a vibrant Filipino-Australian community, who contribute to the diversity and prosperity of our society. I wish to thank them for their ongoing contributions to our community, well as congratulating them for the strong emphasis placed on the role of the family unit in our society. I again commend the goals of Pamama Ball, it is admirable that such value is placed on the importance of culture and the arts. Firstly, I congratulate the NARRA Co-Op Ltd, Plaza Filipino Inc and Adhika Inc for their continued work throughout our community, and in particular their efforts in organising the Pamana Ball 2019. The Pamana Ball is a great opportunity for the community to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements, contributions and rich culture of the Filipino community in our region, particularly young Filipino- Australians. The Filipino-Australian community is one of the most vibrant, engaging communities in our society, with a strong family-oriented focus. The Pamana Ball 2019 allows us to take the time to celebrate this rich culture and the benefits it brings to our nation. The Macarthur region is one of the most diverse, multicultural communities in all of Sydney, and the Filipino community plays an integral role in making Campbelltown such a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family. I wish to extend my congratulations to Adhika, Inc., and Plaza Filipino / Narra Co-operative on their successful joint initiative organizing the PAMANA Ball 2019. I commend the organizers and staff of this event for acknowledging remarkable Filipino-Australian talents and achievements, regardless of age or generation, through its Ambassador for Culture and Arts, and the Youth Ambassadors. The Philippine Embassy is one with you in your aspiration to bridge the gap between the present and emerging generations of Filipino-Australians.
