<strong>Brand</strong> History Pt.2<br />
o Founded in 1943, carpenter <strong>In</strong>gvar Kamprad<br />
introduced a new way of selling furniture into the<br />
industry, as home assembly was not frequently<br />
herd of in the mid-twentieth century<br />
o IKEA is under the holding of its parent<br />
organisation, Dutch registered, Stiching INGKA<br />
Foundation (which was named after <strong>In</strong>gvar<br />
Kamprad).<br />
o However there has been an increase of stores,<br />
since then as in November 2018, IKEA now has<br />
424 stores in 52 countries.<br />
o <strong>The</strong> products that IKEA sells are of a wide range<br />
from baby furnishing to indoor gardening. (A list<br />
of products will be presented in the next slide).<br />
o As of 2014, there are;<br />
o 51 stores in North America<br />
o 222 in Europe<br />
o 23 in Asia<br />
o 14 in Russia<br />
