cat chase across the country — they will each offer<br />

entertainment for the public, said the club advisers.<br />

“I think what the community will like most about<br />

this musical is our cast of kids,” said Stefanie<br />

McConnell, an English and acting teacher at Grove<br />

City. “They are so talented and have so much heart.<br />

“I also think the older generations will like this play<br />

because it will bring back that sense of nostalgia and<br />

the younger generations will appreciate the different<br />

takes of this era and our slightly modernized spin to it.<br />

For those who are not familiar with “Bye Bye Birdie,”<br />

I think they’ll just have a fun musical experience.”<br />

Nathan Weaver, an English and acting teacher at<br />

Central Crossing, said the community will find joy in<br />

the display of passion from these students as well as<br />

the contents within the musical.<br />

“It’s a funny story about a teenager and it’s a good<br />

redemption story as well,” he said. “When the story<br />

Active Shooter Response Training<br />

The Grove City Division of Police is offering Active<br />

Shooter Response Training from 8 a.m. to noon April<br />

13 in Mayor’s Court, 3360 Park St. This free training<br />

is open to the public, but registration is required.<br />

Participants must be age 16 or older by April 13. Class<br />

dinner fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. April 6 at Central<br />

Crossing High School, 4500 Big Run Road in Grove<br />

Afternoon Rap with former OSU player<br />

Faith Community Church of God will host a Sunday<br />

Afternoon Rap from 3 to 5 p.m. April 7 at 4203 Alkire<br />

Road in Grove City. The event, for children 13 and<br />

older, will feature former Ohio State University defensive<br />

tackle Doug Worthington who will speak about his<br />

football career and his faith. Those interested should<br />

The Grove City Division of Police host Seniors and<br />

Law Enforcement Together (S.A.L.T.) meetings at 1<br />
