“Be a global citizen – act with passion and<br />
compassion” - Launching the <strong>Ban</strong> <strong>Ki</strong>-<strong>moon</strong><br />
<strong>Centre</strong> for Global Citizens in Vienna<br />
On January 3rd, <strong>2018</strong>, <strong>Ban</strong> <strong>Ki</strong>-<strong>moon</strong> (UN Secretary-General from<br />
2007 – 2016) and Heinz Fischer (Federal President of Austria from<br />
2004 – 2016) officially inaugurated the <strong>Ban</strong> <strong>Ki</strong>-Moon <strong>Centre</strong> for<br />
Global Citizens in Vienna at a ceremony at the Federal Chancellery<br />
of Austria, upon the invitation of the Chancellor of the Republic of<br />
Austria, H.E. Sebastian Kurz and Austrian Foreign Minister, H.E.<br />
Karin Kneissl.<br />
At the launch, the Austrian Chancellor stressed the importance of<br />
the newly established <strong>Centre</strong> as a strong partner of all international<br />
organizations headquartered in Vienna.<br />
