43rd Newcastle Beer & Cider Festival
As I’m sure most of you are aware by
now, this festival is the work of many
like-minded people. The Festival Team
would like to thank you all for your
hard work.
We’d also like to thank all of the
visitors who took the time to come
and visit the festival. We hope you’ve
enjoyed sampling the 120 beers and 50
or so ciders and perrys. (Or at least as
many as you managed to get through.)
There are some who would say that
CAMRA has become a victim of it’s
own success - no longer do you have
to walk miles, or catch a bus, to get a
decent pint of real ale, or cider. Which
only goes to show - be careful what you
wish for!
Those of us who spend many hours
over many months putting this festival
together still belive that this festival is
something special. Indeed a number of
us joined CAMRA specifically because
of this festival.
If you’ve enjoyed the festival, and
aren’t yet a CAMRA member, then
perhaps you might like to consider
joining? Who knows - next year
you could be selecting the beers or
ciders, or pulling (half) pints at the
2020 festival (no previous experience
requited, as they say).
The 2020 dates aren’t 100% fixed just
yet, but it will definitely be in April
again, most likely 1st to 4th April.
