PETS AND BOBS
PETS OF LEWES
Eri, 11 months, mongrel
Loves: those fish with the lights on their heads,
long weekends in the Hamptons, the fact that the
German word for hospital is ‘Krankenhaus’.
Hates: tardiness, fake granite work surfaces, close
harmony (barbershop quartets are out, and I mean
OUT).
Eri came all the way from Greece via East Pelion
Animal Welfare, just north of Uckfield. She was
rehomed by the Clarke family in Lewes in January.
Eri means ‘protector’ in Greek, but at home she
is mainly known as ‘Spider-Dog’. Eri allows four
year old Spider-Man obsessed Woody to attach
small Spider-Man figures to her harness. She carries them around with admirable stoicism. For equity,
it should also be noted that there is another child in the Clarke household who is called Fin. He
is nine so probably less inclined to tie figurines onto dogs.
Useless dog trivia: The Queen’s first Corgi was called Susan. Dogs have three eyelids, one for everyday,
one spare and one for best. @dogsoflewes
