GIG OF THE MONTH:<br />

DEATH & VANILLA<br />

<strong>Lewes</strong> Psych Fest and Melting Vinyl are bringing<br />

an exciting night of psychedelia to Westgate Chapel<br />

this month. Swedish cult-atmospheric trio Death and<br />

Vanilla utilise an array of vintage equipment (think<br />

vibraphone, organ, mellotron, moog) to create a<br />

wonderfully dreamy musical landscape. The music is<br />

eerily atmospheric, emulating the sounds of 60s/70s<br />

soundtracks, library music, German Krautrock,<br />

French Ye-ye pop and 60s psych. Support comes from<br />

Brighton band Hamilton Yarns, who return to <strong>Lewes</strong><br />

following a spectacular performance at this year’s<br />

Psych Fest.<br />
