GIG GUIDE // MAY
GIG OF THE MONTH:
DEATH & VANILLA
Lewes Psych Fest and Melting Vinyl are bringing
an exciting night of psychedelia to Westgate Chapel
this month. Swedish cult-atmospheric trio Death and
Vanilla utilise an array of vintage equipment (think
vibraphone, organ, mellotron, moog) to create a
wonderfully dreamy musical landscape. The music is
eerily atmospheric, emulating the sounds of 60s/70s
soundtracks, library music, German Krautrock,
French Ye-ye pop and 60s psych. Support comes from
Brighton band Hamilton Yarns, who return to Lewes
following a spectacular performance at this year’s
Psych Fest.
