This technology aims to make a vital difference in children’s lives, by keeping their parents in the loop with their growth and building a stronger partnership between parents and teachers. The app, which first began in Singapore and used now by over 1000 schools in six countries, promotes the importance of home-and-school partnership to build a more integrated child development. HP reinvents learning for children with ‘Little Makers’ challenge HP introduced the HP Little Makers challenge, an opportunity for children to reinvent immersive learning with the HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3700 Printer. Children between 5 – 12 are eligible to participate in challenges for prizes, while schools stand a chance to win a HP Idea Lab worth RM20,000. In alignment to The Ministry of Education’s focus on technology-based learning, the HP Little Makers challenge incites creativity in an advanced learning environment for children with technology and play-based learning. The two-day programme, which started from 9:00am to 5:00pm was aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among rural and urban Malaysian communities. With participation from Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah Klang (PKD Klang), the roadshow featured free health screenings, consultations and activities to educate families on the importance of consuming sugar responsibly in accordance to our lifestyles. The roadshow also educated the public on the effects of diabetes and provided tips for optimal control of diabetes and other associated conditions. The roadshow will be expanded to five other locations nationwide to benefit more people throughout the year. The next one will be held in Batu Pahat, Johor between 28-29th April.
