30 digital transformation Vom Datenbewusstsein zur Nutzbarmachung von Wissen From Data Awareness to Harnessing Knowledge Die Steigerung von Qualität und Nachvollziehbarkeit im Produktionsablauf ist ein zentrales Versprechen von Industrie 4.0. Hierfür soll die Bauteilbearbeitung durch Auswertung von Daten aus dem operativen Geschäft unterstützt oder sogar neu ausgerichtet werden. Ziel ist der Aufbau weitreichender Steuerungsmöglichkeiten auf Basis einer volldigitalisierten und integrierten Produktionskette. Welches konkrete Potenzial sich hier für einen Flugzeugkomponentenhersteller ergeben kann, wurde im Rahmen des LuFo-Projektes EFFPRO_4.0 anhand einer mehrstufigen Datenuntersuchung evaluiert. Basierend auf einer Kartierung der Produktionsdatenlandschaft mittels einer prozessorientierten Datenlandkarte (siehe <strong>Jahrbuch</strong> 2017) wurden Verfahren aus dem Qualitätsdatenmanagement mit klassischen Ansätzen aus dem Bereich Data Mining und Zeitreihenanalyse kombiniert, um quantitative Aussagen zur Prozessfähigkeit abzuleiten oder auffällige Messreihen zu identifizieren. Dabei war letztlich das Wissen der jeweiligen Fachleute ausschlaggebend, um das Ergebnis im Kontext einordnen zu können. Auch wenn das Potenzial bezüglich Datenauswertung und Vorhersagemöglichkeit an dieser Stelle sicherlich noch nicht ausgeschöpft ist, zeigt die Evaluierung in der Praxis, dass hier nicht die Qualität der Daten, sondern das Prozesswissen im Mittelpunkt bestimmend ist. Der für tief reichende operative Entscheidungen notwendige übergreifende Zusammenhang wird erst durch die Anreicherung von Kontextwissen möglich. Gerade dieses Wissen und seine Nutzbarmachung machten die Datenanalysen erst wertvoll und sollten in zukünftigen Industrie-4.0-Ansätzen schon von Beginn an stärker im Zentrum stehen. Datenanalysen gewinnbringend zu integrieren, bedingt eine vorherige Nutzbarmachung des fachlichen Kontextes. Integrating data analysis in a profitable way requires harnessing of its domainspecific context. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Increasing the quality and traceability in the production process is a central promise of Industry 4.0. For this purpose, component manufacturing is supported or even realigned by evaluating data from the operative business. One objective is to establish farreaching operative control options on the basis of a fully digitalised and integrated production chain. The LuFo project EFFPRO_4.0 evaluated the concrete potential of this target for an aircraft component manufacturer on the basis of a multi-stage data analysis. Based on a mapping of the production landscape, valuable data sources were first chosen using a process-oriented data diagram (see Yearbook 2017). Procedures from quality data management were then combined with classical approaches from data mining and time series analysis in order to derive quantitative statements on process capability or to identify conspicuous measurement series. Ultimately, however, the knowledge of the respective technical experts was decisive in order to be able to assess the result in its context. Even though the potential for data evaluation and forecasting has certainly not yet been exhausted at this point, our practical evaluation suggests that the pivotal success factor is neither the quantity nor the quality of the underlying data, but the deeper understanding of the domain’s background. Thus, making far-reaching operational decisions requires the sufficient accumulation of contextual knowledge beforehand. Above all, it is harnessing this knowledge that makes data analyses valuable in the first place and thus should be at the heart of future Industry 4.0 approaches right from the beginning.
