"Grandpa" & "Uncle Dick"<br />

Richard Arden Heisler passed away<br />

quietly <strong>May</strong> 8th, <strong>2019</strong> at the home<br />

of his son Brandon in the company<br />

of family, where he'd been waging<br />

a yearlong battle with neuroendocrine carcinoma.<br />

He passed away peacefully in the middle of the<br />

night.<br />

He was born 2:31am on 11/5/42 in Willard, Ohio,<br />

the eldest son of Russell and Hazel. He grew up in<br />

Willard, moved away, came back, moved away and<br />

now is coming home again. He's survived by three<br />

sisters, Karen (Joe) Sawyer, Deanne (Bud) Trill,<br />

Cindy (Ken) Shoup; two sons, Rod (Janine) and Brad<br />

(Sharon); a daughter, Gretchen (Eric) Kuhn; and<br />

eleven grandchildren, all who love him dearly and<br />

will miss laughing with him, traveling with him, his<br />

laugh, and his easy demeanor.<br />

He was in the Marine Corps, worked on the<br />

railroad, lived in Chicago, worked in a car factory,<br />

learned to teach, got a Master's in Education,<br />

coached football, sampled asbestos, scolded his<br />

children (and others), ran fishing charters, allegedly<br />

sank a boat in Lake Erie, sold trailers in Texas, and<br />

ultimately returned home to finish his time out in<br />

Ohio with his son and his family.<br />

Family and friends may gather at the Secor<br />

Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, on Tuesday, <strong>May</strong><br />

14, <strong>2019</strong>, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM,<br />

where his funeral service will be on Wednesday,<br />

<strong>May</strong> 15, <strong>2019</strong>, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Dale George<br />

officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions<br />

may be made to the James Cancer Center,<br />

STUTHARD<br />

Lisa Lynn “Sissy” Stuthard, 45, of London died unexpectedly on<br />

<strong>May</strong> 7, <strong>2019</strong>, in her residence. Born on Dec. 21, 1973, in London, she<br />

was a daughter of Michael and Linda Gail (Bryant) Peterman. Lisa<br />

loved caring for her granddaughter, Chloe Gail, time with family,<br />

cooking, baking, and crafting. Survivors include: her husband of 21<br />

years, Mark Allen Stuthard; daughters, Allison Lynn Stuthard and<br />

Ashley Lynn Stuthard (fiancée Tyler Daily); granddaughter, Chloe<br />

Gail Daily; father, Michael Peterman; sisters, Jessica Peterman<br />

(John Flynn) and Donielle Peterman (Josh Kimbler); brother, Robert<br />

Peterman; special nieces and nephews, Michael Peterman, Brandon<br />

Bricker, Colton and Amelia Bricker, Ryan Bricker, Cohen Bricker<br />

(Samantha Stepp), Lacey Barker, Lyric Corbin, Dylan Peterman and<br />

Abigail Peterman; many aunts, uncles and cousins; father and<br />

mother-in-law, Allen and Doris Stuthard. She was preceded in death<br />

by: her mother, Linda Gail Peterman; aunt, Nancy Slone; sister-inlaw.<br />

Denise Peterman;, grandfather, Donald Bryant; cousin, Chad<br />

Slone; and many other family members. Services were held <strong>May</strong> 13<br />

in Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home and Crematory, London, with interment<br />

following in Paint Memorial Cemetery, London. Donations<br />

may be made to the funeral home for the benevolence of the family.<br />

NANCE<br />

Thomas J. Nance, 66, of London died on <strong>May</strong> 8, <strong>2019</strong>, in Doctors<br />

Hospital, Columbus. Born on March 23, 1953, in Springfield, he was<br />

a son of Edward and Gertrude (Haynes) Nance. A graduate of<br />

Shawnee High School in Springfield, Tom then went to Sinclair University<br />

and became a respiratory therapist. He worked for the former<br />

Community Hospital in Springfield before working and retiring from<br />

Riverside Methodist Hospital. Survivors include: his wife of 35 years,<br />

Lisa (Culley) Nance; son, Evan C. Nance of Columbus; daughter,<br />

Katelyn M. Nance of Florida and brother, Michael Nance of Mississippi.<br />

Funeral services were held <strong>May</strong> 10 in Eberle-Fisher Funeral<br />

Home and Crematory, London, with Pastor Grant Edwards officiating.<br />

Interment followed in Somerford Township Cemetery.<br />

STAGE<br />

Mary P. Stage, 82, of Mount Sterling died<br />

on <strong>May</strong> 10, <strong>2019</strong>. Born to the late Hugh and<br />

Nevada Collins, Mary married John William<br />

Stage Jr. in 1950. Along with 17 others,<br />

Mary was one of Mount Sterling's first<br />

emergency medical technicians in 1975. She<br />

was a long-time member of Mount Sterling<br />

Church of Christ in Christian Union. In addition<br />

to her parents, Mary was preceded in<br />

death by her brothers, Leroy, Delbert and<br />

Kenny, and by her sister, Corrine. She is<br />

survived by: her loving husband of 68 years,<br />

LYTLE<br />

Rose Marie Lytle, 67, of Galloway went to Heaven on <strong>May</strong> 11,<br />

<strong>2019</strong>, while at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in<br />

Columbus to the late Geraldine and Lee Parsons, Rose was a graduate<br />

of Franklin Heights High School, Class of 1970. In addition to<br />

her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Parsons,<br />

and her sister, Mary Miller. Rose was a loving wife, mother<br />

and grandmother. An avid ballplayer, she also loved dogs, flowers,<br />

people and life. Rose was always the life of the party. She will dearly<br />

be missed by her family and friends. Rose is survived by: her<br />

beloved husband of 37 years, Carl Lytle; her loving daughters, Amy<br />

(Pastor Eric) Thoman of Byrdstown, Tenn., and Becky Wolfingbarger<br />

of Canal Winchester; her seven adored grandchildren, Lydia<br />

(Alexis) Solarzano, Levi Thoman, Delores Thoman, Cynthia<br />

Thoman, Thaddaeus Thoman, Marquise Thoman and Natasha<br />

Thoman; sisters, Marie Jones and Martha Taynor; brother, Bobby<br />

Parsons; her many other relatives; the extended and loving Lytle<br />

Family; her Birthday Club friends; and her many other friends, including<br />

her neighbors in Darby Crest. Services were set for 11 a.m.<br />

<strong>May</strong> 18 at Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home, West Jefferson,<br />

with Pastor Eric Thoman officiating and burial to follow at Hampton<br />

Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Columbus<br />

WILSON<br />

Mary Ann Wilson, 68, of Orient went to Heaven on <strong>May</strong> 11, <strong>2019</strong>.<br />

Born in Columbus to Olive and the late Eugene T. Wilson, she was<br />

a graduate of Plains High School, Mount Sterling, Class of 1968, and<br />

the Columbus Business University. Mary Ann was a medical secretary<br />

in doctor offices in Columbus and Mount Sterling. She was the<br />

longtime medical secretary for Dr. Wong’s office in Mount Sterling.<br />

Mary loved her family, and she loved her nieces and nephews as her<br />

own. She loved concerts, music, the beach, yard sales and being with<br />

her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene T. Wilson.<br />

She is survived by: her mother, Olive Wilson of Mount Sterling;<br />

life partner and love of her life, Bob Brainard of Orient; daughter,<br />

Holly (Joe) Stage of Orient; granddaughters, Blair (Benjamin Imburgia)<br />

Brainard of Hilliard and Caitlyn Stage of Vandalia; greatgranddaughter,<br />

Olivia Fultz of Vandalia; brothers, Bob (Carol)<br />

Wilson of Mount Sterling, Jim (Vicky) Wilson of Grove City and<br />

David (Ann) Wilson of Columbus; several nieces and nephews; special<br />

aunt and best friend, Helen (Bob) Perry of Mount Sterling; and<br />

many other relatives and friends. The family thanks Pam “Sue”<br />

Huffman for all her loving care for Mary. A service was held <strong>May</strong> 16<br />

at Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mount Sterling.<br />

BACHTOLD<br />

Roxanne “Roxy” (Carbine) Bachtold, 64, of London died peacefully<br />

on <strong>May</strong> 12, <strong>2019</strong>, in her residence. Born on Sept. 20, 1954, in<br />

LaSalle, Ill., she was a daughter of Joseph and Betty (Bridson) Carbine.<br />

A member of <strong>Madison</strong> County Vineyard Church, Roxy had<br />

worked as a cook and a teacher’s aide but especially liked working<br />

for Ability Services, helping those with special needs. Survivors include:<br />

her husband of 37 years, Doug Bachtold; sister, Linda (Carbine)<br />

and Andy Gianopappas and their children, Anthony and Anna<br />

Gianopappas; brother, Steve Rogge; and sister, Sue Rogge. She was<br />

preceded in death by: her parents; first husband, Elliot Fehr; and<br />

stepfather, Clyde Rogge. A celebration of life was scheduled for noon<br />

on <strong>May</strong> 18 at <strong>Madison</strong> County Vineyard Church, 106 Olive St., London,<br />

with Pastor Denny Tatman officiating. The family was scheduled<br />

to receive friends at the church from 10:30 until the time of the<br />
