FOREWORD<br />
A lot of our time is being spent on advising executives and leaders<br />
about talent and the latest programmes, ideas, strategies on how<br />
best to recruit, onboard, coach, teach, develop and retain them. We<br />
dedicate budgets, resources and numerous meetings to this area.<br />
Nevertheless, in HR we are especially bad at self-development,<br />
we regularly fail when investing in the development of our teams<br />
and leave them until last when it comes to investing in talent.<br />
Are you ready for the new learning era?<br />
If we want to adapt and grow the profession to deal with an everchanging<br />
world of work then we need to Learn, Network &<br />
Benchmark and by this “professionalise the profession”.<br />
Dave Ulrich said, "You're only effective if you add value.<br />
That means you're not measured by what you do but by<br />
what you deliver". Bottom line, HR has to continue<br />
focusing on deliverable outcomes.<br />
