The general meeting was short, and the <strong>SCCC</strong> representative, Loni Knowles spoke about the up and coming Discovery Day,<br />
October 5 th, on a Saturday, with the whole SCCA campus open for all. The newcomers to Sun City can see what a great<br />
group of Clubs and activities that are in Sun City,” Welcome” to all the New Sun City members.<br />
Election of Officers for the September to May year of <strong>2019</strong>/2020, was held:<br />
Kathy Pickett as President<br />
Jan Fernandez as 1 st Vice-President<br />
Kathy Crain as 2 nd Vice-President<br />
Loni Knowles as Treasure<br />
Diane Dunaway as Secretary<br />
This team have been Officers for many years and what a great job they do, year after year.<br />
Then at last, like any picnic, came the games. Word games with winners of a great gift or two.<br />
All in all the year closed with some wonderful friendly hugs, of a great group.<br />
In September <strong>2019</strong>, on the third Fri., the new year will begin with Mickie Warner doing an Art Demo<br />
for the meeting, on the 20 th @ 12:30pm. During the summer, June, July, & Aug., on Fridays in the Art Room, 1,2,4 th<br />
weeks, from 1 to 3:00pm, the room will be open to all arts and crafters. The 3 rd Friday will have the Art Guild having<br />
workshops and/ or field trips, from 1 to 4:00pm. They will plan ahead as to what they will do, and put up a schedule as to<br />
what plans they have to do on the 3 rd Fridays monthly.<br />
The Art Guild wants to say,” Thanks to Helen Richman”, as she works very hard at many different projects, and has done a<br />
great job this year:. “THANKS HELEN”.<br />
