First all I want to wish each and every one of you a very Happy New Year 

and I know that 2021 was a tough year for many and I pray that 2022 is a 

great year of Health, Happiness and Success. 

I want to welcome our new Members for December, go to their networks

January should see lots of new members with the Launch of our Mission 

Valley Network January 5th at Crust Kitchen, Coachella Valley GSFE

network , which was done and so far we have three new members from 

that group, January 20th at Embassy, Suites is the launch of the Coachella 

Valley GSFE and she has over 50 rsvp’s so far, and the starting of signing up 

of members for London, England. February we are launching New York and 

Canada both which will be zoom networks so that will give our members 

the opportunity to meet new GSFE members in these locations. In the near 

future we will see a live network in Palm Beach Florida and I believe a zoom 

one from Philadelphia, all of these will help us achieve our goal of 1000 

members by the end of 2022 and all will enhance the people you know 

around the world. 

Also note that the Hemet and Riverside GSFE networks are merging 

in January. Riverside network has members from Riverside, Rancho 

Cucamonga, Redlands, Yucaipa, Moreno Valley, Hemet and Beaumont. 

Murrieta is expanding to include Corona, Eastvale, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar 

and Murrieta, Menifee is adding Winchester to their Menifee, Canyon Lake 

and Perris lineup. 

Congratulations to Denise Gregory who will be moving up to Director of the 

Menifee GSFE at the January meeting. Also Stone Love Northern CA director 

has added Cecilia Kelly as her co director of her monthly zoom meeting. 

But as you know members can join any network no matter where they live 

and as a member they pick their home network but can attend any other live 

or digital monthly meeting just by doing a rsvp to the director and paying 

them the $10.00 members fee, live meetings you are expected to order food 

and pay the restaurant direct as the restaurants do not charge us for the 

space but do expect our members to order food. So please be sure that you 

order something as spaces are hard to find everywhere that are free. 

My ASK for 2022 is that YOU make a commitment to SHOWUP at least at 

one GSFE meeting a month. Please read the Riverside network page as Joan 

Wakeland did a year in review of just what her network did and learned and 

it’s amazing when you look at the year. I have asked the other networks to 

also do that for 2021 including our digital network so you can get to see the 

real value of learning that the GSFE team brings to you. 

I also included on the Menifee page just how much those that attended 

Menifee 2021 meetings learned as well. If you multiply that times all our 

network I would say that inspite of the pandemic we rocked with learning, 

mentoring and connection women. 

Our prayers go out to Dr Sharron Stroud who is in the hospital and to other 

members who do not want their names mentioned that are dealing with 

health issues. We pray for each and everyone of you to stay Healthy doing 

this Covid crisis which is very serious. We have monthly zoom meetings

for you to join if you feel more comfortable and some still prefer the live 

meetings which we have as well. Your wellbeing is very important to me 

and the whole GSFE board and member’s so you know what you need 

to do and do what you feel is right for you to stay healthy. AnGele Cade 

is also in the hospital and she as well as Dr Sharron are improving and its 

because of all the prayers. 

My board of Directors and I did a zoom meeting December 29th and 

approved the 4 events for 2022 which Marcy is outlining in this newsletter 

please read about the events and put the dates in your calendar as we 

wanted you to have them in January so that you can get them on your 

calendar and be able to SHOW UP at the events so please read that page 

where all that information will be listed. As we get pricing and locations 

firmed up we will let you know but the dates are firm. Some of the events 

will have vendors and we are always looking for sponsors. Sponsors help us 

keep the costs down for our members. 

Tee Lee Riverside GSFE member and her organization has an event that 

many of us attended last year and will be again showing up at on February 

12th, 10:00 to 2:00 it’s a Valentine Shopping event with vendors and her 

SIFN Fashion Show is Sept 9th, which also has vendors so contact her for 

more info on her two events at 626-529-6830 and be sure and add her 

dates in your calendar. 

Gillian Larson is again doing her Reality Rally May 6, 7,and 8th in Temecula, 

CA and always needs hundreds of Voluntters, she brings in fantastic stars 

from Reality Shows who take part in the event and all the funds from this 

event help Michelle’s Place in Temecula that serves people with Cancer. I 

have been a volunteer every year that she has done it and plan again this 

year to be a part of it as our many of our other GSFE members its lots of 

fun and you can meet lots of great people men and women and teens .She 

also needs donations of items for her gift baskets, Check out the website

Murrieta GSFE member is doing her next Goddess Festival in Sedona AZ 

Sept 21-24 so contact her about that information at 951-757-7753 and she 

can add you to her list to get the information on what she is doing, 

Marlena Martin, 

Long Beach GSFE member and CEO Founder of Women of Achievement 

dates for the MS & Mrs US Women of Achievement is Nov 10-14, 2022 

and as you know many of our GSFE members have been crowned It’s a 

magnificent event, I have been honored to be a judge for several events, 

a speaker and even was presented CA women of the year award one year. 

Many of our GSFE members have won the Queen Awards. What I love 

about this event it’s about what you are doing, who are you serving and 

it’s amazing to see the work these women do. Those that enter are any

age, any size and come from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Last year we had many from GSFE that 

were winners so who wants to enter in 2022, contact Marlene at 714-928-0696 

Michelle Bergquist from Connected Women of Influence will be holding her Connected Women 

of Influence Awards and a luncheon on November 3rd and remember she also picks people for 

the Sue Talks 

Deborah Thorne known as the Information Diva does her Leverage Conference, November 10th 

thru 12th and there ae lots of opportunities with her. 

All of these women are GSFE members, are dynamic and also run their own organizations and 

all love helping women and every event has an opportunity for you so contact them, their name 

and emails and numbers are on the membership list you get each month. So add our dates and 

these dates on your save the date calendar as its going to be an amazing year. 

Marcy will be doing an event calendar and we will add our dates as well as dates of events our 

members are doing in 2022 as remember “Together we can do more.” 

Our directors work hard and have planned a great 2022 for each of you so all we ask is that you 

mark your meeting dates on the calendar of those meetings you want to attend and most of all 

RSVP to the Directors as they need to know how many to expect. 

Hope to see some of you at our Coachella Valley GSFE Launch on January 20th be sure and RSVP 

to Bette King the director if you are joining us and I hope one of your New Years resolutions is to 

be on at least one GSFE meeting each month either live or zoom and to attend our 2022 events 

and to learn how important it is to RXVP and to do just that to meetings and events you attend. 

I will be doing a Vision Board class at my house on Sunday January 30th 1 to 5pm. if you are 

interested give me a call 951-255-9200, cost is $20.00 I furnish all that you need, just ask if 

you have magazines to bring them, I have some but we always need more. Vision boards are 

powerful on my last year board I had England and British Airways and that happened for me I 

went to England and on British Airways and when I did the board had no idea it would happen. 

Jean Olexa had a car on hers and that is happening, every year the women that come and do the 

boards tell me things do happen for them by having the board. So come and join us we have fun. 

Space is limited so you need to call me if interested it’s at my house in Menifee. 

2022 is going to be a year of growth for GSFE remember it does not matter what State of 

Country someone you know lives in, they too can become a GSFE member as we have digital 

on-line networks as well as live so it fits everyone, so just share their name with the director 

that represents their area so they can invite them to their meeting. With almost 300 members if 

everyone made a commitment to bring in one member we would be at 600 members it’s really 

that easy and then with the new ones coming in we can easily hit my goal of 1000 members for 

GSFE in 2022 so will you help us grow and achieve our goal??? 

Hope to see you at one of our January GSFE meetings. Remember SHOWING UP is like a treasure 

map you never know what treasure you will find and there are always treasures at our GSFE 

meetings and events...

HAPPY NEW YEAR, GSFE! 

Let’s all start off the new year with thanksgiving and gratitude for the blessings that we 

have all had this year. We are grateful for the loved ones that are still by our sides and for 

each and every one of our GSFE sisters. 

We pray for those who are sick and healing. And we pray for the prosperity of each and 

every one of our sisters. May we prosper together as a team and support each other 

throughout 2022. 

While there was no Murrieta meeting in December 2021, we all had a blast at the Riverside 

Christmas Party. Our next meeting will be January 27th @ 12:30pm ONLINE. Due to location 

issues, the Murrieta/Lake Elsinore branch will be a hybrid group, having online meetings 

from January through April or until we find a space for the in person meetings. As soon as 

I have a location nailed down, we will resume with in-person (hopefully in time for the hot 

summer months). I am also dubbing our group as the Southern Inland Empire (SIE) group, 

because I am expanding our territory through Corona. So now our stomping grounds will

Our GSFE sisters are wonderful entrepreneurs. We 

also love having parties. Our Christmas party with 

all the chapters was a blast as you can see in the pics 

& videos I took. You gals love to dance. We enjoyed the 

performances from our talented new chapter from Palm 

Springs. They are launching in January. 

Ellen Bitters & I voyaged out to another Christmas Party 

to support Long Beach musicians in our community. We 

also honored the Colburn University of Music. There were 

talented Pianists , a violinist, a flute orchestra, string quintets,

Menifee members loved being part of the Inland Empire GSFE Christmas 

Party that Joan Wakeland Riverside GSFE Director chaired with all her great 

helpers. 

So Menifee, Temecula, Hemet and Murrieta networks did not meet in 

December we all SHOWED UP at the fantastic party, as well as members 

from our other networks also showed up so it was an amazing event. Read 

the Riverside network page and you will see photos from the event and how 

much fun it was. Also toys were collected for the Boys and Girls Club and 

when Joan delivered them they were so thrilled. 

I am happy to announce that Denise Gregory who has been my codirector 

for Menifee is moving up to Director in January and she is very excited to do 

the job. I am always available to help all the networks since we are growing 

I am no longer running any network but will keep showing up at as many 

meetings a month that I can to support the directors I will be spending 

time to get more members, to take care of the work, processing our new 

members and work on grants for the organization as well as be part of the 

team for all the events we do, so all of this will continue to keep me busy as 

the CEO/Founder of the organization. 

I feel that GSFE brings lots of friendship and knowledge to our members, as 

I looked back on what our Menifee members got to learn last year with our 

dynamic speakers it was amazing. And if you think of it each of our networks 

have speakers that are amazing with dynamic topics.

Budget, and why a marketing budget is necessary”, September Tee Lee gave us fabulous 

tips on “How to Organize our workload and get things done”, October Ann Bennett taught 

us “How to Brand Our Business” and November the Vice Chair of GSFE AnGele Cade, 

shared “The Future of Business is YOU” and of course Dec was the Party event where we 

interacted with so many of our GSFE sisters and had a fantastic time. 

When we are planning our speakers each year for GSFE we look for dynamic speakers 

to help all of us grow personally and in our business. I believe to reap these benefits of 

knowledge you Have To Show UP, and take ACTION. So let SHOW UP, ASK, and ACTION be 

your power words for 2022, if you do, you and your business will soar higher than even you 

imagined.

be sure and SHOW UP the 2nd Wed of each month at Sun City Family Restaurant at 11:30 

am. 

Starting next month in the newsletter our new Director Denise Gregory will be putting 

together the news. 

I went on a three day cruise to Mexico on Carnival with Kelly Smith GSFE Northern CA 

member who lives in Fort Bragg we had a great time going to the shows and playing games 

we did not get off the ship in Mexico, enjoyed great food, she had not cruised for a long 

time so it was fun to have her with me as my roommate. 

We are so happy to hear that Sue Lopez’s daughter in law who has been in a comma is 

doing better and Menifee GSFE sends best wishes for a speedy recovery to Coachella Valley 

GSFE member Dr Sharron Stroud who is in the Hospital we pray that she will soon be well 

and out of the hospital, I have been in touch with her daughter and getting updates.

Even though Covid is back we must all think positive and look to a great year in 2022 as you 

will have the opportunity to meet so many new members that are finding our GSFE networks. 

Each network is growing and that is awesome. Remember even though you are a member of 

one you can visit any of our networks that way you get to meet lots of other GSFE sisters.. 

We have missed Mary Gelbman, Sue Lopez and Kathy Rees at our meetings and look forward 

to seeing them in the New Year. 

Our condolences go out to Lynne Hartung who lost her husband, she has purchased a home 

in the Oasis and will be moving there from the Assistant living facility they were living. We 

send our prayers and look forward to seeing her soon. 

Don’t forget every Tuesday night Nicole Farrell does Karaoke at the Cherry Hills Golf Club 

restaurant and she is fantastic and the entertainment is great a wonderful way to spend a 

Tuesday night, it starts at 5:30 you can sing if you are a singer but if you are a listener like me 

you get to hear some outstanding talent. so put it on your calendar and SHOW UP to support 

Nicole who is always supporting everyone.

Happy New Year Ladies 

I trust you are looking forward to a successful year. I theme my years, 

and I have declared that this year is my year of RELIEF!!! I strongly 

believe that it is time we start speaking what we want. January is my 

month of EASE, I have said it and so it will be. You can key into this 

word with me. 

I am blessed to be a part of this noble organization, GSFE. I have 

been making noise about us ever since I joined. My Instagram and 

the ears of my friends haven’t had a break since I met Ms Robbie. 

February 26th, 2022, New York Chapter will officially launch. Our 

topic would be THE GSFE VISION. Our Guest Speaker would be our 

Founder, Robbie Motter. I would be using other mediums, including 

zoom. 

My intention is to gather who I personally know and also use the 

weight of my social media following. I have spoken to quite a few 

women who have already signed up, and who will sign up. 

We will be meeting Last Saturday of the Month at 12 Noon, Virtual and/In Person. We have a 

recruiting scheme/plan, and it has been working. 

We will be “Emotional Healing” focused as that is my area of expertise, but will also center on 

Entrepreneurship because I am yet to know a New Yorker who is not a marketer. Lol. Seriously 

though, it is my desire to emcompass all the core values of GSFE in our branch, and they will 

reflect in our monthly meetings. 

I am a woman of many parts but of one message: “Nothing Happens In The Grave.” Wherever 

I serve, those words will follow those I’m in Fellowship with. I work as a Night Shift Certified 

Nursing Assistant, but my CALL is Singing and Speaking. I Model and Act professionally, and I 

write for people as well as myself. I hold a Bachelors in Church Ministries and I’m almost done 

with my Masters in Death and my PhD in Metaphysics. 

I founded a Self-Help University and a Mentoring College which classes are a prerequisite to

In December our chapter celebrated the holidays together with food, fun and festivities! A 

good time was had by all! 

We also welcomed two new members in November and December!

I am very excited by being selected to have been chosen as the Director of this new Desert 

Chapter. There is no one more concerned for safety than I am. In 2020 I had an early case 

of Covid19; it lasted a long time, and labeled me as one of the “long haulers” with many 

uncomfortable conditions. 

Mind over matter though, and the ability to show up has brought me to this day, to 

announce that the first meeting will be held live, at Embassy Suites in Palm Desert, CA on 

Thursday, January 20, 2022. See the flyer for all the details, and be rest assured this is a 

safe environment with all protocols in place. Please observe the courtesy of wearing a 

mask for the safety and well being of yourself and others, this will make all feel comfortable 

and welcome. The layout is huge and weather permitting I may even consider holding it 

outdoors on their beautiful grounds. It will be an exciting launch with exciting things in 

store, including meeting some very special speakers and guests. 

My goal as Director is to not only meet new people in the Coachella Valley, but get to know 

and visit each and every chapter in Southern California. Driving is never a deterrent for me

The Year 2021 in Review 

We started the year off with Aspirations, Big Dreams and Courage to face 2021. Some people 

chose to create Vision Boards ! Others chose to start the new year by changing how they 

previously transacted business because of the pandemic! 

Zoom provided us at GSFE with the platform for connecting. During the year those who 

chose to connect on Zoom heard from Fantastic Speakers addressing interesting topics on 

“Negotiating for Success“,” Reduce Stress in our Every Day Life “ , “Calm, Self Care Support “ 

“The Benefits of utilizing Social Media in your business “, “Intuition in Business !”, “Your Message 

Matters ... Zoom Etiquette!,” “Kindness as a life path.” “Are you Listening? Impact your business 

now!”? “How our Special Moments can give us hope!” and 

“Self Defense from a Woman’s Point of View.” 

Every year, all Directors endeavor to procure Speakers that can make a difference either in our 

business life or our personal lives! 

The above presentations have provided Excellent Information to the group. We benefit only 

when we apply what we learn! 

It has been challenging finding locations to have monthly “In Person Meetings “ so they will be 

held on Zoom until we can find a Restaurant that is willing to accommodate us! We are looking 

for a Restaurant that has a room that can accommodate 15 to 25 people in Riverside or Corona 

area. 

In June 6, 2021 we had our first “Author’s Day! 

Members who were Authors, Editors, Publishers, Graphic Designers and Media Owners 

convened at the Life Arts Center Florence Room. Our purpose was exposure and awareness 

of the resources we could offer to aspiring Authors! There were light refreshments and book 

signings! 

It has been challenging finding locations to have monthly “In Person Meetings “ so they will be 

held on Zoom until I can find a Restaurant that is willing to accommodate us! I am looking for a

Restaurant that has a room that can accommodate 15 to 25 people in Riverside or Corona area 

and will not charge us for room space. 

We would order from them in lieu of the room fee. 

Hemet’s chapter will merge with Riverside starting in January 2022. 

Maryam Crogman has been very helpful in the search for a monthly meeting place and her 

efforts are appreciated. If we cannot find a Restaurant that can work with us then we will have 

to look at some of the paid alternatives! 

We welcome 4 new members since November. They are Princess Barrett, Joshlyn Earls, Susan 

Vandenburg and Jacqueline Robertson! 

I asked Arvee Robinson in September to be Co Director (assist me with the work that is needed 

for the Chapter ) She said “ Yes “ In November she lost her husband, we are indeed sorry for her 

loss. Please pray for her ! 

On December 7, we celebrated our Christmas Holiday Party at the Life Arts Center Venue 

pictured above. Everyone had a great time. Each person got a Gold Bag with little soaps, body 

cream,body butter made by my friends and a book “ Write your goals the proper way” The 

book was written and donated by Angel Toussaint. I am hoping that you would read that book 

and use it to kick start 2022. Members brought Toys which were donated to “The Boys and Girls 

Club of Menifee” Julia Burch and John Wahn from the Club thanks us and reported that Santa 

appreciated the toys since Covid prevented the elves from coming to work on a daily basis 

since January 2020. Rudolph got a really red nose from all his sniffles so he had to be in the ICU 

for a while and some of his Reindeers had to go to Emergency Room for that cough and sore 

throat that would not go away! GSFE members were glad to come to help out! 

We would like to thank Bent Corydon for the Venue Space, Jessica McCawley for arranging the 

Catering, Maria Strassenburg (Pianist)Alex Howard, Rock Peters for music, Angie Peltier, Antonio 

Rangel and Elvia Hatter for decorating the Flamenco Room. We appreciated their contribution 

and generosity! 

We would also like to thank our members Terry Lawrence from Palm Springs who gave us great 

entertainment on the Piano. Robin Uncapher came from Murrieta to provide us with his jazz 

rendition. All entertainment was donated! We had a blast! How did that happen ? 

No Show ! No Party! However you all showed up, and we enjoyed the time together! 

“Mike and Kirby’s make an offer table” They had fun! 

There were members who helped me behind the scenes. They were Vivian Haire, Angel 

Toussaint, Tee Lee, Robbie Motter, Angela Covany, Katherine Orho, Kirby Jones and Denise

coming, You all made the year 2021 a wonderful year! We look forward for one that allows our 

dreams and desires manifest in 2022 !

Happy New Year Everyone 

As we close down 2021 there are so many things to be grateful for even 

in the challenging times in which we find our self. Health is number one 

both physically and emotionally as the virus has been very taxing on 

both. As we approach 2022 let’s keep our minds and hearts open to 

the possibilities of the new year. GSFE is growing and expanding and 

as we support the growth of the organization so do we grow our own 

networking and business opportunites. Thank you to Robbie Motter our 

founder who has embraced the expansion near and far. 

On December 7 we hosted our virtual Christmas party. A very good time 

was had by all. We came dressed for the occasion with a prize for the 

best presentation. Our well know “Survivor” celebrity Gillian Larson 

took the prize for not only her outfit but her role she played with us as 

Mrs. Claus. It was such fun. Lots of giveaways and entertainment with 

Christmas music with our in house DJ Marcy. Thank you to Angele, and 

Angeline for organizing the flow of the party. 

This month, we are excited to introduce our member who joined GSFE 

in September this year and also our speaker at our January 6th meeting. 

Meet Leisa Reid! 

Although Leisa Reid was born in Los Angeles, California, she was raised 

in Fairbanks, Alaska from ages 2 - 18 years old. She moved to Orange 

County, California to attend California State University, Fullerton where 

she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Speech Communication. She 

moved to Rancho Santa Margarita in 2001 and still lives there. Leisa 

comes from two amazing parents who lovingly raised her separately. 

She was able to travel between Alaska and California throughout her 


teen years where she would get to spend the summers in Los Angeles with her mom. Her 

dad was a hypnotherapist and author. He was a deeply compassionate person who also 

had a light about him that was contagious to all around him. Her mom lives near her in 

Mission Viejo and was a journalist most of her career. Not only was she an editor for the LA 

Times, but she also edited one of Leisa’s books and has helped at her live workshops. She 

is Leisa’s #1 fan! 

Leisa is married to Mark who is a golf instructor in Irvine. They met on match.com back 

in 2010. He is rarely on social media, so keep an eye out for a random sighting! Leisa’s 

daughter, Ariana, is in her freshman year at Cal State Fullerton and is studying to become 

an elementary school teacher. Leisa loves to hang out with her family, dog and friends. 

She enjoys zumba fitness, jigsaw puzzles, watching tv and movies, dancing and making 

playlists on her spotify account (she makes a great dance party mix!). 

Although Leisa is organized and focused on her curriculum, she has been told that she’s 

pretty funny. She loves music, movies and is highly intuitive. She doesn’t miss much. If 

you are looking for someone who can see through your B.S. and get past the fear that’s 

keeping your message hidden, you will really enjoy her approach and will skyrocket faster 

than you can imagine. She keeps it real, and she loves deeply. She meets you where you 

are and can see through the matrix of how you can get where you want to go using your 

own soul’s wisdom and expertise. She honors courage and the bravery it takes to get up 

on stage and share yourself.

hundreds of her own speaking engagements, Leisa realized that there were other 

entrepreneurs who needed support in getting their talks created and getting their 

calendars full of speaking gigs. She works with heart centered entrepreneurs (e.g., 

coaches, consultants, healers, authors, etc.) who feel they have a calling to speak. 

Prior to creating Get Speaking Gigs Now, Leisa has held executive leadership positions in 

higher education institutions, taught at Cal State Fullerton, owned a day spa, been a real 

estate investor and personal development workshop facilitator. She has created a brickand-mortar 

business, sold it, bought another one and also had a franchise. 

When Leisa founded the OC Speakers Network back in 2013 it was to develop relationships 

with other speakers so she could keep her calendar booked and stay educated about

Here are some more ideas of how to use your marketing budge smart and efficiently. 

1. Host a social media contest or giveaway 

Running a social media contest or giveaway is a smart and effective marketing strategy 

requiring minimal resources. You may need to cough up some dough for a prize, or offer a 

product service at no charge, but the number of participants and new potential leads you 

get will be well worth the price. Really tight on budget? You don’t technically need a super 

expensive prize to get participants. Even a couple high-end water bottles or fancy backpacks 

might be enough of a draw for some users. 

There are a number of different social media contest types out there, but the main idea is to 

require registrants to like, follow, or tag your business, or tag someone else on your post, to 

get your name out there and introduce potential clients to your services. 

2. Set up a customer referral program 

Offer existing customers a free product, free month of service, or some other reward for 

referring new customers. Remember, word-of-mouth is powerful stuff, and customers referred

gathering brings together global nonprofit, government, business and civic leaders for 

inspiration, education and connection. 

We invite you to share your subject matter expertise in volunteer engagement, social 

innovation, social justice and equity, or corporate social responsibility with an engaged group 

of practitioners and organization leaders who want to spark change and drive impact in 

their communities. Attendees range from volunteer coordinators to executive directors and 

corporate leaders who seek innovative ideas on the future of civic engagement. 

What makes for a good workshop session? One with a description that matches intention, with 

learning outcomes and appealing content for the audience. The application will be open until
