I am an abstract and mixed media artist. My paintings very much come straight from my mind. I rarely have more than a basic idea
of what I am going to paint until it is completed. My inspiration is our wonderful world from the micro, such as rock cross sections,
to the macro rock and geological formations.

Travelling north from Callington on the A388 turn right, just before the B3257 Tavistock turning, onto Florence Road Business Park, Kelly
Bray. Follow the road through the industrial estate. You will find the Art Centre on the left just beyond Keltic Motors. Ample parking to
the front of the centre, disabled access, toilets, café and a large shop with a wide range of art materials and framing facilities.

I like to capture a piece of time through the act of painting and printmaking.
Images emerge from an interchange between evolving themes. I work from direct
observation in sketchbooks and occasionally from photography, processing ideas
to establish composition.

I am a Cornish, self-taught artist based in South Petherwin near Launceston. Inspired by my local history research, travels and former
working life in the transport industry, I have developed an acrylic and mix-layered style to reflect the light and movement of rural
landscapes, coupled with nostalgic reflections, giving a contemporary impact and twist of urban texture to each canvas. Being mostly
housebound due to chronic disability, my wife has enabled my work to be exhibited at this event as part of the Drawn to the Valley group.
10% of all sale profits will be donated to the charity, Invest in ME Research (IiMER). They are pioneering new biomedical research into
the causes, diagnosis, treatment and potential cure for this debilitating disease that Roger has been disabled by for the last 6 years, to raise
awareness of this invisible illness and help the millions of people worldwide whose lives have been damaged or ended by it.
