Ian is a member of two national societies and has been exhibiting at London’s Mall Galleries<br />
since 1987. Subjects include woodlands, architecture, still life, seashore and Venice. Mediums:<br />
watercolour, ink and acrylic. Greeting cards and browser works are available. The ‘grot<strong>to</strong>gothic’<br />
style cottage is a work of art in itself.<br />
Level access on<strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> street, no steps o<strong>the</strong>r than ridge at bot<strong>to</strong>m of door. Not wide enough<br />
for wheel chair access.<br />
5 miles west of Tavis<strong>to</strong>ck on A390, adjacent <strong>to</strong> Gunnislake railway station entrance. Free parking in station car park. On leaving<br />
station on foot, follow main road uphill for just 20 yards. Studio opens on<strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> street.<br />

Hilda attended <strong>the</strong> Slade college of art for life drawing and Goldsmith’s college for<br />
art and teaching. She has been an accomplished ceramicist and artist for several<br />
decades and ran an art and craft centre in Calling<strong>to</strong>n during <strong>the</strong> 80’s and 90’s. Hilda<br />
enjoys painting landscapes of <strong>the</strong> Cornish countryside, life drawing, plus portraits<br />
and pets in oil. All profits from sales are donated <strong>to</strong> The Cystic Fibrosis Trust.<br />
Studio is on level ground with wheel chair access.<br />
5 miles west of Tavis<strong>to</strong>ck, turn left off <strong>the</strong> A390 just before Gunnislake Station<br />
(Well Park Road) Follow for a half mile down dip and uphill <strong>to</strong> open country.<br />
Turn left down unclassified road, Wheal Arthur House is at <strong>the</strong> bot<strong>to</strong>m below<br />

I graduated from <strong>the</strong> Royal Academy of Fine Arts, The Hague. I’m intrigued<br />
by <strong>the</strong> atmosphere, solitude and s<strong>to</strong>ries that certain places radiate, aiming <strong>to</strong><br />
capture <strong>the</strong>se in drawings, multi-colour lino prints and oil paintings. My studio<br />
has breath-taking views over <strong>the</strong> valley and many artworks on display. Cards and<br />

From Tavis<strong>to</strong>ck, turn left before Gunnislake station (Well Park Road). Continue for 0.8 mile. At <strong>to</strong>p of hill turn left in<strong>to</strong> hard gravel<br />
lane. Gresham House on right after 200 metres. Easy parking.<br />
