We at SpiceJet have always tried to innovate and provide our customers a memorable flying experience and our new business class offering is yet another step in that direction.” Business class passengers now get to experience upfront the service efficiency SpiceJet has always been known for. The product is of very high quality and has been customized to meet the high level expectations of business class passengers. While rolling out all the attractive services, top level industry practices have been followed. The new business class seating has been incorporated in select aircraft. In the B 737-700s, eight seats are reserved for the Business Class (Of the remaining, 126 seats will be taken up by economy class passengers). There are more seats in the other two classes of aircraft. The B 737-800 has 12 Business Class Seats (156 for economy). Finally there are 28 Business Class seats in the B 737-900 (138 for economy). In all these aircraft, the first row of the economy cabin and both the over-wing exit rows are SpiceMAX seats. BEFORE BOARDING THE AIRCRAFT The pampering begins even before the flying passengers set foot on the aircraft — in a lounge reserved specially for them at the airport. Even as they wait for the flight, passengers can enjoy privacy in comfortable surroundings. Quality food and beverages are served. There are also many other facilities, all of which add up to a smooth journey. Business class passengers are able to carry more baggage than other passengers. For checked-in baggage it is 30 kg. Passengers will be able to board with up to 10 kg of handbag (excluding laptops). There are dedicated check-in counters at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Jammu, Guwahati, Varanasi, Jaipur, Coimbatore, Kochi and Patna airports. At all other airports, the counters are being shared with SpiceMax passengers. At the airport, the business class passengers are also given priority for check-in, boarding and baggage. While boarding, if an aerobridge is being deployed, they are allowed to board first. When boarding the coaches, priority is given to business class passengers at all times. Here is the announcement sequence for calling out passengers — Business Class followed by SpiceMax, Spice Club and Special Handling and finally Economy Passengers. Priority in the handling of baggage includes tags specifically designed for SpiceBiz. And the order that is followed during baggage arrival at the carousel: SpiceBiz, SpiceMAX and Bag-out- First. Well before the flight has taken off, the Business Class passenger is welcomed with a refreshing drink and refreshing towels. A comprehensive menu card is distributed giving details of the three-course culinary journey lined up on-board. Passengers will be able to enjoy a culinary experience like never before.
