China’s R&D expenditure grows fast, as the country continued<br />
to push for innovation-driven development. In 2017, China<br />
spent $280 billion in R&D, accounting 2.12% of China’s GDP.<br />
China is on its way to become the global powerhouse of innovation.<br />
It is in the long-term interests of both the Europe and China<br />
to encourage innovation collaboration.<br />
European Network of Research and Innovation Centres and Hubs<br />
(ENRICH) is a global network of centres and hubs that promotes<br />
the internationalisation of European science, technology and innovation<br />
(STI). Promoted by the European Commission through<br />
Horizon 2020, the ENRICH global network is to connect European<br />
research, technology and business organisations with three<br />
global frontrunner innovation markets: China, Brazil and the USA.<br />
