AESOP 2014 PhD Workshop<br />

SPS organised the PhD<br />

workshop associ<strong>at</strong>ed with<br />

the 2014 AESOP Conference<br />

in the Netherlands, co-organised<br />

<strong>by</strong> the University of Utrecht and<br />

<strong>TU</strong> <strong>Delft</strong>. The workshop was held<br />

from 5 to 8 July 2014 in Uilenburg,<br />

a farm with a conference<br />

centre 2-3 km from <strong>Delft</strong> centre.<br />

It consisted of plenary sessions<br />

with lectures, interactive workshop<br />

sessions, and small discus-<br />

sion groups with student present<strong>at</strong>ions,<br />

all intertwined with social<br />

activities for the 33 participants.<br />

Six academic planners (Karel<br />

Maier, Cecilia Wong, Paulo Pinho,<br />

Stefanie Dühr, Karl Fischer, and<br />

Kristina L. Nilsson) were invited<br />

to guide the workshop, along with<br />

the <strong>Delft</strong> team: Vincent Nadin.<br />

and Akkelies van Nes.<br />
