A glamorous fund-raising dinner for The Rhino<br />
Orphanage held at Ferguson’s on 5th in Hyde Park did<br />
a whole lot more than delight guests’ taste buds ... it<br />
secured a much-needed ventilator for the orphanage.<br />
Arrie van Deventer, the orphanage’s founder, pulled<br />
at guests’ heartstrings as he described the effect on<br />
a calf when its mother is poached, and shared how<br />
the non-profit organisation needed a ventilator. To his<br />
amazement, the marketing manager of BMW Sandton,<br />
Danica Groenewald, confirmed the company had<br />
bought it. Tears of joy and a whole lot cheers followed.<br />
