Stan the little<br />
green tugboat<br />
THE new eco friendly tug<br />
for Denia has the unlikely<br />
name of Stan Tug 1004,<br />
and ferry company Balearia<br />
have revealed plans<br />
for the new vessel.<br />
It will be 11 meters long and<br />
have a beam of 4.5 meters and<br />
a 220 horsepower engine.<br />
The engine is the key to<br />
its green credentials, being<br />
more eco-efficient than the<br />

current two vessels registered<br />
in the port.<br />
The boat is set to undergo<br />
tests off the Dutch coast this<br />
week and, if all goes well,<br />
will be delivered to Balearia<br />
in December.<br />
It will be replacing the existing<br />
