Stunned by reader feedback
Our feature story last
month detailing Council’s
intention to crack down on
rogue residents and defend
public land from unauthorised
‘development creep” certainly
stirred a hornet’s nest.
We were inundated with
readers’ emails of complaint,
citing locations and photos
of dozens of alleged
unauthorised works across
Pittwater.

dating back to the days of
the former Pittwater Council
which listed 133 addresses and
locations of pedestrian access
reserves from North Narrabeen
to Ingleside and Palm Beach.)
We will continue to liaise
and work with Council on your
behalf.

Also last month we broke
news of the private legal
action brought against Council
in the Land and Environment
Court aimed at stopping the
Station Beach offleash dogwalking
trial from proceeding.
Council’s update is that
procedural directions were
made at the scheduled
hearing on November 8, with
the matter listed for further
directions on 28 February.
Given the trial was slated
to commence in December,
we asked Council whether the
legal action had forced the
long-awaited implementation
onto the backburner.
The reply: “No comment.”
