ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT
The Gallery of Contemporary Art is
hosting an exhibit now through Thursday,
Dec. 12 at St. Louis Community College-
Wildwood, 2645 Generations Drive. The
exhibit is titled “The Art of Me” and
includes 16 self-portraits. The 60-foot
exhibit is curated by art instructors Mark
Oakley and Mark Weber. Gallery hours
are 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 7
a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays. For more information,

Winter Jewels is daily from 10 a.m.-4

House, 15193 Olive Blvd. in Chesterfield.
The Butterfly House transforms into
an enchanted land. Visit a fierce dragon
and noble knights at the castle, discover
tropical butterflies in the fairy garden in
the Conservatory and make new friends in
the Gnome Forest, which includes games
and forest insect displays. Tuesday through
Friday, come at 11 a.m. for Books & Butterflies,
a story time series featuring special
guest hosts, authors, mascots, animals and
more. All activities are included in cost of
admission. Closed Mondays.

Laughter Yoga [Hasya Yoga] is from
12:30-1:30 p.m. every Monday at The
Timbers of Eureka, 1 Coffey Park Lane in
Eureka. Exercises incorporate stretching,

Cholesterol and Glucose Wellness
Screenings are from 7-10:30 a.m. on
Friday, Dec. 20 at St. Luke’s Resource
Center, 101 St. Luke’s Center Drive in
Chesterfield. Get your cholesterol and
glucose numbers. Includes a one-on-one
consultation with a registered nurse/health
coach, also includes blood pressure and
body composition measurement. A 10-12
hour fast and advanced appointments are
required. The cost for the test is $20. Also
available is the A1C test; the cost is $12.
The Cholesterol and Glucose with AIC
fee is $32.The test is designed for people
at risk for type 2 diabetes or for people
with a history of diabetes. Registration is

St. Charles Christmas Traditions continues
through Tuesday, Dec. 24 in Historic
Saint Charles, 230 S. Main Street in St.
Charles. This annual, monthlong festival
celebrates the best of the holiday season.

Christmas figures and joyful singing of the
harmonious carolers, to the unique shopping

The annual Tree Lighting and Winter
Fest begins at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7
at Wildwood Town Square Plaza, 221 Plaza
Drive in Wildwood. Attendees can take
pictures with Santa Claus from 3:30-5:30
p.m. A Gingerbread House Contest begins
at 6 p.m.; all houses must be assembled at
home and transported to event. Carolers and
food vendors will be onsite from 5-7 p.m.
The event will conclude with a tree lighting
ceremony at 7 p.m. The event is hosted by
the Wildwood Business Association.

9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at American
Legion Post #208, 225 Old Sulphur Spring
Road in Manchester. A pancakes and sausage
breakfast is served. Don’t miss this

Dec. 7 at the Chesterfield Valley Athletic
Complex, 17925 N. Outer 40 Road. Candy
canes and hot cocoa available. No dogs

will have a toy drive for Cardinal Glennon
so bring a new, unwrapped item to the
event. Afterward, the Candy Cane Hunt is
at 10:30 a.m. for ages 2-12.
