Drop in valuations
Full list of average property valuation increases and
decreases across Christchurch and Banks Peninsula​:

the average value now $577,100.
The data covers the period from
2016 to 2019.
In other western suburbs, Ilam
and Burnside have also dropped
0.4 per cent with the average
capital value for properties at
$733,900
The average capital value has
lifted in the Hornby, Hei Hei and
Islington area with values rising
by 0.6 per cent and in Halswell by
0.4 per cent.
The average property values
were $477,800 and $558,900
Hornby, Hei Hei and Islington
and Halswell respectively.
Fendalton has increased by 1.2
per cent with the average capital
value sitting at $1,251,500.
Meanwhile, central city properties
have seen a 7.9 per cent value
increase on average.

have a positive impact on rates in
