After a while, you’ll start

It’s only the first evening: you
need to keep your strength

After an excellent breakfast, you
head straight out into Locarno’s
old town. The unusual boutiques
invite you to go inside. Bags,
clothes, espadrilles, jewellery:
a bit of everything. And now for
some art. There’s a broad choice
and that red cube intrigues you.

#LAKE #BIKE #PROMENADE
The best way to explore the region is by bike, perhaps
an electric one. From Piazza Grande you cycle
along the lakeside promenade to Minusio, where
you stop for a delicious lunch with a view. What

You get back on your bike and
head for Ascona. You’re caught
up in the atmosphere at the
Monte Verità and can feel the
energy of this special place. You
understand why it was chosen
over a century ago to create a
