Quand y aller? / When to go?
Il est préférable de se rendre sur l’île d’Antsoheribory
pendant la saison sèche, c’est-à-dire de mai à
novembre. La température est également agréable
en cette saison. Durant cette période, il est possible
de rallier l’île en 4X4 depuis Katsepy.
It is best to visit Antsoheribory during the dry season,
that is to say from May to November. The temperatures
are also milder during this period. In the dry season,
the island can be reached by 4X4 vehicle from Katsepy.
Comment s’y rendre? / How to get there?
Pour rejoindre Majunga, deux options s’offrent à
vous : soit par voie terrestre en empruntant la RN4,
soit par voie aérienne par le biais des vols réguliers
de la Compagnie Air Madagascar/Tsaradia partant
d’Antananarivo. Depuis Majunga, l’île est accessible
à travers des taxis-pirogues ou en vedette.
There are two ways of getting to Majunga, either by
road, along the RN4, or by air, with regular flights run
by Air Madagascar / Tsaradia from Antananarivo. Fom
Majunga, the island can be reached by dugout-taxi or
motorboat.
Où se loger? / Where to stay?
Amoureux de la nature, vous pouvez passer une
nuitée en bivouac sur l’île. Néanmoins, vous pouvez
séjournez dans la ville des fleurs au sein de ces
établissements suivants : Au Coco Lodge, au Baobab
Tree Hôtel ou encore à l’Hôtel Anjajavy Lodge.
Lovers of nature can bivouac for a night on the island.
You can also stay in a hotel in the ‘town of flowers’,
choosing between the Coco Lodge, the Baobab Tree
Hôtel and the Anjajavy Lodge.
Où manger? / Where to eat?
L’idéal est de faire un pique-nique sur l’île lors de votre
visite. Mais sachez que les établissements hôteliers
de Majunga offrent également un service restaurant.
Vous pouvez vous rendre à ses adresses : le Sampan
d’or, la Petite cour ou encore le Baba Khimo.
Ideally, you should picnic on the island during your
visit. All the hotels in Majunga also have restaurants.
You can eat at the Sampan d’or, the Petite cour or the
Baba Khimo.
Que voir? / What to see?
Une fois sur l’île d’Antsoheribory, mise à part les
visites des vestiges arabes, vous pouvez faire du
bird-watching, vous détendre sur les plages brutes
et sauvages de l’île ou encore vous baigner. Vous
pouvez également effectuer une visite guidée en
pirogue et faire le tour de l’île.
Once on the island of Antsoheribory, in addition to
the vestiges of the Arabian civilisation, you can enjoy
bird-watching, chill out on the unspoilt beaches or
go swimming in the sea. You can also sail around the
island in a dugout for a guided tour.
