Spring is a beautiful time of year. A time
for new beginnings. It’s always lovely to
see lambs skipping in the fields around
the tearoom and new shoots bursting
forth on our tea bushes. It’s a great time
to try something new.
We’ve got lots of exciting creative classes
and workshops lined up for you this year,
including Creative Collage with our new
featured artist Nicola
Ward, on 23rd May. In
the spirit of recycling,
Nicola creates wonderful
artwork using old, ripped
up magazines. Come
and meet Nicola and
other talented artists at
our Mad Hatter's Tea
Party on 13th April.
We believe everyone has the ability to create
something beautiful and we’d like to inspire
you to have a go. This year’s Tea Party
theme is Mad Hats. We’ve launched a Mad
Hat design and colour competition. Let your
imagination run wild and free, like Alice in
Wonderland. Design the maddest hat you can
possibly imagine. Draw, paint, colour,
embellish and glue whatever you like onto
your hat shape. Go to our website to
download a special sheet. Get your entry to
us by 10th April and you could WIN tea &
cake for two! We’d love to see you wearing
your creations on 13th April - the madder the
better!
If you love to craft and chatter, doodle and
draw, knit and natter, then join our NEW
Creative Hub Club. Come and meet creative
colleagues every third Tuesday of the month
from 7-9pm. Bring your knitting, sewing,
sketch pad, ipad, UFOs (Un Finished
Objects). Enjoy a couple of hours of creative
escape. Our next gathering is on 21st April.
Don’t worry if you can’t make it, you can
always arrange to meet your creative
companions anytime we’re open.
