This time of the year are some of
their worst months of the year and
this year has been no exception.
The extreme wet weather has
meant that they have had to bring
the horses off the swamped fields
onto the yard.
It costs about £1000 a month just for the hay to feed
them, not to mention the vets’ bills. The sanctuary
currently homes over 90 horses and ponies who have
nowhere else to go. The sanctuary is desperate for
both funds and volunteers to help either with the
horses themselves or to fund raise.
