SYMPOSIUM
Das Bauhaus Luftfahrt hat 2019 sein mittlerweile viertes wissenschaftliches
Symposium zur langfristigen Entwicklung des Luftverkehrs veranstaltet.
Rund 200 Teilnehmer aus 17 Ländern waren der Einladung der renommierten
Luftfahrt-Ideenschmiede auf den Ludwig Bölkow Campus bei München
gefolgt. Im Atrium der IABG begrüßte Hausherr und IABG-Geschäftsführer
Prof. Dr. Rudolf F. Schwarz den Kreis der namhaften Experten aus Industrie,
Politik und Forschung.
Das Bauhaus-Luftfahrt-Symposium stand im vergangenen Jahr unter dem
Thema „Luftfahrtziele über den Flightpath 2050 hinaus“. Während der Plenarsitzung
am ersten Tag präsentierten fünf hochkarätige Redner aus unterschiedlichen
Branchen und Institutionen radikale Technologien und Konzepte, mit
welchen der Luftverkehr der Zukunft den Klimawandel aktiv und positiv beeinflussen
kann. Am zweiten Tag des Symposiums hatten die Anwesenden die
Möglichkeit, zwischen jeweils zwei interessanten Sitzungen am Vormittag und
am Nachmittag zu wählen.
Bauhaus-Luftfahrt-Vorstand Mirko Hornung zog am Ende des zweitägigen
Fachforums eine durchweg positive Bilanz: „Neben radikalen technologischen
Konzepten wurden im Dialog zwischen den Experten und Teilnehmern des
Symposiums intensiv Lösungsansätze für eine ökologisch nachhaltige Luftfahrt
diskutiert.“

In 2019, Bauhaus Luftfahrt held its fourth scientific symposium on the longterm
development of aviation. Around 200 participants from 17 countries
accepted the invitation of the renowned aviation think tank to attend the
Ludwig Bölkow Campus near Munich. In IABG’s atrium, host and IABG Managing
Director Prof. Dr. Rudolf F. Schwarz welcomed the circle of renowned
experts from industry, politics, and research.
Last year’s Bauhaus Luftfahrt Symposium was devoted to the topic
“Aviation targets beyond Flightpath 2050“. During the plenary session on the
first day, five top-class speakers from various industries and institutions presented
radical technologies and concepts with which the aviation of the future
can actively and positively impact climate change. On the second day of the
symposium, the guests had the opportunity to choose between four interesting
sessions in the morning and afternoon.
At the end of the two-day expert forum, Bauhaus Luftfahrt Executive Director
Mirko Hornung drew a thoroughly positive balance: “In addition to radical
technological concepts, solutions for ecologically sustainable aviation were
discussed intensively in the dialogue between the experts and participants of
the symposium.“
