41Erneuerbare Alternativen zu konventionellemKerosin rücken zunehmend in den Fokus derLuftfahrt. In diesem vielfältigen Themenfeldkonzentriert sich der Forschungsschwerpunkt„Alternative Kraftstoffe“ am Bauhaus Luftfahrtauf folgende zentrale Fragestellungen: Inwelchen Mengen können erneuerbare Kraftstoffein Zukunft produziert werden? Welchetechnischen Produktionspfade stehen für einelangfristige Versorgung zur Verfügung? Wiesind diese Pfade im Hinblick auf ihre technischen,ökologischen und sozioökonomischenPotenziale zu bewerten? Und wie lassen sichdie benötigten Mengen nachhaltiger Kraftstoffein den Markt einführen? Langfristige,bislang weniger entwickelte Optionen spielenin den Betrachtungen eine besondere Rolle.Die Produktion fortgeschrittener Biokraftstoffeaus Abfall- und Reststoffen oder nichtbiogeneProzesse, wie solare Kraftstoffe undstrombasierte Kraftstoffe (StL, PtL, H 2 ), stellenhierzu wichtige Forschungsansätze dar.Renewable alternatives to conventionaljet fuel have moved into the focus ofinterest of the aviation industry. In thisdiverse thematic field, the research focusarea “Alternative Fuels” at BauhausLuftfahrt addresses the following keyquestions: Which quantities of renewablefuel can be produced in the future?Which technical production pathwaysare available for a long-term supply ofrenewable fuels? How do these pathwaysperform with respect to technical, environmental,and socioeconomic criteria?And what are appropriate measuresto introduce the required volumes ofsustainable jet fuel into the market? Lessmature technology options with promisinglong-term potentials are of particularinterest for the work at Bauhaus Luftfahrt.The production of advanced biofuelsfrom residues and waste streams ornon-biogenic approaches, such as solarfuels and power-derived fuels (StL, PtL,H 2 ), represent important research topicsin this context.
