PAUL JENKINS at The

Redfern Gallery

The abstract expressionist painter Paul

Jenkins, known for pouring paint onto

canvas and paper in flows of luminous

colour, had a secret life. His engagement

with collage, a lesser-known aspect of his

work that evolved since the mid-1950s, is a

story in itself…

BEA FORSHALL

Beatrice was born in France and spent

most of her childhood there, and in

Catalonia. She studied illustration at

Falmouth College of Art, specialising in

dry point engraving in the last year of her

degree. She has since exhibited regularly

throughout the UK.

PIPPA YOUNG

Pippa Young’s paintings, almost all

of them figurative, are drawn from

the abstract bricolage of memory

and nostalgia -- amalgams of

disparate, splintered images and

motifs that, with her deftness of

technical skill and eye for

composition, are made to look

wholly natural, wholly familiar.
