Flooding continues to cause significant disruption to the <strong>City</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>District</strong>, with both localised <strong>and</strong> general impacts, including<br />
infrastructure damage, service closures, insurance claims <strong>and</strong> anxieties about recurrence.<br />
The effects of storms has been similar with general disruption to travel <strong>and</strong> essential services, as well as localised damage to<br />
premises <strong>and</strong> natural assets as well as the potential threat to life.<br />
There are increasing numbers of local severe weather incidents requiring a multi-agency emergency planning approach.<br />
