Protecting our Kiwi way of life for<br />
over 100 years<br />
State proudly joined the Surf family in 2010 and like Surf Life Saving New<br />
Zealand, State has been protecting Kiwi’s and what’s important to Kiwi’s for<br />
over 100 years.<br />
Spending time at the beach with family and friends is a way of life for many<br />
of us. We’re helping Kiwi’s stay safe at the beach this summer by giving Kiwi’s<br />
the skills they need to help keep them safe in the water. Like Surf Life Saving<br />
we’re committed to reducing and preventing risk at the beach.<br />
In just our second year of sponsorship, we are gearing up for a very<br />
successful National Jandal Day on Friday 2nd December. We are supporting<br />
Clubbies around the country through fundraising activities from our 28<br />
State stores and three call centres. We’re also offering ‘Cash for your club’<br />
to any Surf member who takes out an insurance policy with State before 31<br />
December. State will give their club $50 for every new policy, plus they will<br />
personally collect 100 Fly Buys Bonus Points. Check out the ad in this edition<br />
of Partner Update.<br />
Many of our staff have a close association with Surf Life Saving either having<br />
been lifeguards themselves or having required the help of surf lifeguards at<br />
the beach. Our staff will be proudly supporting Surf Life Saving on National<br />
Jandal Day so keep an eye out for them as they shake a bucket on the streets<br />
or take part in other fundraising activities.<br />
State and Surf Life Saving - we’ve been protecting the kiwi way of life for over<br />
100 years and we’re proud of it.<br />

SUPPORTING OUR CLUBS<br />
State will be supporting Surf Life Saving Club’s this season with:<br />
• ‘Beach condition’ signs, including hazard signage<br />
• A new set of lifejackets for each club<br />
• Subsidising Competitor Vests<br />
State are also our partner with the new find-a-beach website going live in<br />
December, including webcams for clubs and providing considerable support<br />
as principal partner for National Jandal Day. Get your National Jandal Day<br />
