A Decade of MA Solo Dance Authorship

• Research for Artists: Research for artists proposes that thinking
and making in the field of performance requires approaches and
methods beyond academic, analytic and objective methods, and
that individual artistic practice often involves an eclectic range
of generative knowledges. Some (conventional) methodologies
are taught or demonstrated. Others are examined critically, often
using a case-study approach that reviews methodology from
the point of view of both intention (or framework of assumptions)
and of outcome. The range of methodologies examined
will include: postgraduate level study skills; methodologies for
academic research; practice as research / practice as learning;
research requirements of practical projects; documentation;
collaborative work.
