Hotel avote for future of tourism<br />

Roberts Consulting, the<br />

firm responsiblefor the<br />

building’s design,<br />

engineeringand project<br />

management, says<br />

lenders have given their<br />

full support to the<br />

project.<br />

The Sudimahotel<br />

chainislooking forward<br />

to managing the facility,<br />

Hospital groundsatHanmer<br />

Springs.<br />

First mooted in late 2015, the<br />

conceptwas awarded funding<br />

fromthe Provincial Growth<br />

Fundlast week duringavisit<br />

by the under­secretary for<br />

regional economic development,<br />

Fletcher Tabuteau.<br />

The $997,000includes money<br />

for the already­completed<br />

ConicalThrill hydro­slide and<br />

the Cascade Poolsatthe<br />

thermalpools, owned by the<br />

HurunuiDistrict Council.<br />

investors would still be needed<br />

for the project, estimated to<br />
