Safety at <strong>Göteborg</strong> Convention Centre and Hotel Gothia Towers<br />
At <strong>Göteborg</strong> Convention Centre and in-house Hotel Gothia Towers, security and safety are highly<br />
prioritised. All personnel are well trained in fire fighting, evacuation procedures and first aid. Hotel<br />
Gothia Towers was the first hotel in <strong>Sweden</strong> <strong>to</strong> become an accredited member of Safehotels, passing<br />
a yearly audit of security standards conducted by the highly respected security company Pinker<strong>to</strong>n<br />
Consulting & Investigations. The audit consists of 00 checkpoints covering areas such as: staff<br />
selection and training, security devices, security arrangements, fire equipment, fire procedures and<br />

Equality-Certified Venue<br />
The <strong>Göteborg</strong> Convention Centre and Hotel Gothia Towers are equality-certified by the organisation<br />
“Tourism for All”. The organisation has an equality-certification for businesses within the <strong>to</strong>urist<br />
industry. The purpose is that everyone, regardless of disability, shall be able <strong>to</strong> travel <strong>to</strong> any<br />
place they wish and also be able <strong>to</strong> take delight in all available facilities, such as accommodation,<br />
restaurants and entertainment. The diploma certifies that the venue has been controlled in regards<br />
<strong>to</strong> accessibility and the equality-concept, and that it fulfills the requirements according <strong>to</strong> the<br />
European accessibility classification.<br />
Sustainable Environment<br />
The Swedish Exhibition Centre is determined <strong>to</strong> take an active part in the development of<br />
environmental work. The eco cycle is now a common concern, and environmental work is a field<br />
in which everyone comes out a winner. The following environmental vision expresses the thinking<br />
that guides the convention centre’s day-<strong>to</strong>-day activities: ”Mankind is completely dependent on<br />
