Theme Dinners
A night out and dinner for participants can be enhanced with
a theme dinner tailored to your requirements. With a long
history, the Göteborg region has many special traditions and
activities and you are invited to enjoy the fun. Below is a range
of themed dinner options that can turn a great meal into a
fantastic memory.
A Traditional Midsummer Party
Swedish summer nights are truly magic. It never gets really
dark, wildflowers line the roads and fill the fields, the air is
warm and the sea sparkles of sea-fire. Midsummer is one
of the most beloved Swedish traditions, dating back to the
Viking Era, and a great party with traditional music, dance
and entertainment, herring, new potatoes, fresh strawberries,
beer, aquavit and the decorating of the May pole with green
leaves and flowers.
Entertainment during and after the party could be traditional
Swedish music, traditional Swedish folk dancers (this part
could include letting the delegates try a few steps) and all the
traditional fresh Swedish food.
Meet the Chef
No, not the Swedish Chef from the Muppets (although they
may sound the same), this theme dinner allows you to learn
from the best. Göteborg’s top restaurants invite you to enjoy
a night where you will cook and learn from one of their expert
chefs. You may pick the cuisine or genre of your choice, however
Sweden’s West Coast is famous for its fish and seafood so
when in Rome... Combine your daytime activities with a great
night out where you can have a great team building activity
and perhaps learn something on the way. As always, the chef
must test a glass of the wine to be served at dinner during
preparation.
