World second highest capital
Ecuador's beautiful Quito city, situated at an altitude of 9 thousand 350 feet above sea level, is considered as
the second highest capital of the world. It is a favourite city of travellers from all over the world, as it has
historic colourful buildings, beautiful gardens, shops, cafes, restaurants and many tourist attractions.
15 percent of the world’s bird species are here
Ecuador’s tourism department has significantly improved infrastructure in the last two decades to attract
tourists. It is one of the largest biodiversity areas in the world. The special thing here is that this biodiversity
area is home to 15 percent of the total species of birds currently known in the World.
Galápagos Islands
The Galápagos is a volcanic archipelago in the Pacific Ocean. It is considered one of the most important sites
in the world for wildlife sightings. This island of Ecuador is quite far from the mainland’s i.e. about 1 thousand
km. But for wildlife lovers, this is a special tourist destination. There are also diverse species of animals here.
These islands have also been included in the World Heritage List.
It was also visited in 1835 AD by Charles Darwin, who gave the world the principle of survival of fittest.
