The following ANA board members were re-elected: Secretary Stephanie Pierce, PhD, MN, RN,<br />
CNE, of the Louisiana State Nurses Association; Director-At-Large Jennifer Gil, BSN, RN, of the New<br />
Jersey State Nurses Association.<br />
Those continuing their terms on the ANA board in 2021 are: Vice President Susan Y. Swart, EdD,<br />
MS, RN, CAE of ANA-Illinois; Treasurer Jennifer Mensik Kennedy, PhD, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN<br />
of the Oregon Nurses Association; Director-at-Large Jeff Watson, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, of the Texas<br />
Nurses Association; Director-at-Large, Recent Graduate Marcus Henderson, MSN, BSN, RN of the of<br />
the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association.<br />
Elected to serve on the Nominations and Elections Committee are: Amanda Foster, BSN, RN, of the<br />
Arizona Nurses Association; Tonisha Melvin, DNP, CRRN, NP-C, of the Georgia Nurses Association;<br />
Marylee Pakieser, MSN.RN.FNP-BC, of ANA-Michigan.<br />

subcommittees formed (1- NP week 1- Virtual Education) Due to Covid-19 pandemic limited<br />
activities.<br />
2021 Goals: Have a 2021 conference on HHI. Offer more virtual education sessions for APRNs<br />
across the state<br />

<strong>2020</strong> Activities: The SCNA Nurse Educator’s chapter continues to support the mission of the<br />
SCNA. The chapter is committed to supporting academic nurse educators as well as clinical nurse<br />
educators around the state. The goals for the previous year were met. The chapter had a dedicated<br />
meeting day with advance notification for all meetings sent to chapter members. The topics from<br />
the nurse educators proposed during the APRN annual conference were derived from the current<br />
practice issues clinical and academic nurse educators felt were important to highlight. Future goals<br />
include preparing for additional ways to prevent nurse educator fatigue while transitioning from face<br />
to face learning to online learning. Also, supporting the clinical nurse educator with information<br />
regarding COVID-19 and ways to increase awareness. The SCNA Nurse Educator’s chapter meets<br />
every 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00am via teleconference.<br />
